  1. If this is the place we find ourselves, take Chandler.
  2. Gill and Taylor's minutes will be determined by how healthy Gill can get. If he's pre-injury, he'll play and play a lot. He'll take Taylor's minutes, I think. We haven't seen a healthy Gill yet. But our defense seemed to take a dive once he went down. I have no idea what to make of Palmer. I think he could be a starter, I think he could find himself as the 7th or 8th man in the rotation.
  3. Be careful projecting incoming freshmen to be difference makers. We all expected Roby to be that and he didn't quite get there. I know he had the injuries that slowed him down in the summer. I'd just caution against putting too much on Allen and Nana. Hopefully they light the world on fire. That would be fun.
  4. #CallRickBarry
  5. Padilla's a good dude. Knows his basketball. Decent writer.
  6. Unless you know something the rest of us don't, we've only got 3 spots left. They could go any number of ways with those.
  7. Ah, Silver, I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad this place can be a bit of a harbor for you. Peace to you and your family.
  8. Or one grad transfer, Ernst and Chandler. Still think they want another sniper, too.
  9. Or given the "Old Yeller'" treatment.
  10. Had a slew of mid-major offers. New Mexico was far and away his bet offer. I've never seen him play. No idea if he'd be worth the offer, seems like he'd be a redshirt candidate. Maybe if you can get Ernst, you take him. The goodwill alone might make it worth it.
  11. Winning always matters and with the lack of it, if what Hooper says is true, that environment becomes far less palatable if the wins don't accompany it. To imply winning wasn't a factor, I think its probably a little naive. Nick was the only one who I think would have left regardless. The other three, I think if the season had gone better, the conversation whether they would have left or not is a valid one.
  12. From the World Herald: http://www.omaha.com/huskers/mens-basketball/ed-morrow-s-decision-to-transfer-leaves-husker-coach-tim/article_7449afcc-14dc-11e7-94d1-df0c482dda4a.html
  13. No you're not. That thought might be more prevalent here than in other places, but you're far from alone.
  14. That's the one that hurts the most, IMO.
  15. San Diego St. is open. Oral Roberts fired their coach.
  16. I don't expect Jack to put on much, if any weight, certainly not 15 lbs. He wants to stay a lean, mean, 3-point shooting machine. Or at least tune up the mechanism, since I don't think I'd call him a machine, yet. I do think we'll see him take a decent jump in his shooting percentage next year.
  17. I'm not disputing any of those things, but it doesn't make this true, either.
  18. You think SP was gonna fire Barry in August? C'mon now. He may have been a lame duck coach, but he wasn't fired.
  19. If he earns his way onto the floor, that'd be a good thing. If he plays because they don't have any others options, it'll be less good. He's got some skill thought. I know there are some on the staff that think he could be more than just practice fodder. I wish he'd have been a part of the program last summer instead of leaving and rejoining mid season.
  20. Next year is shaping up as an "us against the world" type of season in that locker room.
