I would imagine you'd be paying attention to the game and not to me leaving early (which I won't be doing as I doubt I'll make it to any games this year, and if I do go I'll probably stay the entire time [i usually do]).

And ten minutes of game time turns into 45 minutes of parking lot time. I don't care one bit if people leave early. I assume they have a legitimate reason to be heading out. That reason outweighs the reason to stay. I can't fault someone for that.

You're right in that I wouldn't have left the game last night, as it was very much in question. But that doesn't mean the people who left didn't have legitimate reasons to jet.

Should the fans go to class like the players have to? Should they wear uniforms like the players have to? Honestly, by saying the players "have to" stay, are you suggesting they'd rather be elsewhere?

I guess I don't understand getting so upset over someone who wants to go home when he wants to go home. Have none of you ever left before something was over? I've left movies before they were over. I've left parties before they were over. I've left concerts before they were over. I've left football and basketball games before they were over. Why? Either I had somewhere else to be or I had spent all the energy I was going to on said event. For something as simple as attending a sporting event, I guess I don't see the need for questioning people's motives. I guess that makes me an idiot.

That's about the best way to put it. If Doc wasn't doing what he was comfortable with, he should have changed what he was doing. Same goes for Miles. If he's not doing what he's comfortable with, then he should find the comfort.

I'm not sure there's much elevating to be done by Andre.

Along those same lines, I was impressed when, just as a timeout had been called, the shot of Coach Miles included one of his assistants who obviously had something to impart. Miles was listening to the advice/suggestion before the players got there. I thought to myself, "I like the looks of that."

My experience with this kind of conversation is the person Tai is speaking with won't even know where Nebraska is. When I was in England I had to resort to telling people I was from Chicago so they would stop asking "Where is Nebraska?"

I'm not sure we know what our potential is yet.

Jordan Magic Pike Hell, any of the NBA guys I saw in the two exhibition games I attended. Stacey King was pretty darn good, at least I thought he was when he was manhandling our guys down low.

As much of a train wreck as this season will probably be record wise, I'm still looking forward to this season more so than I have any season in quite a while. I don't think we'll win very many games, but something tells me we're going in the right direction.
