  1. I'd prefer to get rid of "offered" in the title. We're not just talking about the offer anymore. But it's not that big a deal.
  2. Yeah, this dude isn't an inside player (at least not in the video I've seen). He can stretch the floor pretty well, and he's got a nice looking shot. I'll let Norm break his form down a little further.
  3. Photoshopped! He's only got three fingers on his left hand!
  4. I forget...do we have a recruiting forum? Ahh...that's better.
  5. I believe all scholies are one year deals. That is why some schools are now making headlines by guarenteeing the scholie for four years. Chemistry is big, but if that kid is as good as some say he is, do you not make the effort? I doubt we will, but still... Didn't the B1G just make schollies good for four years, rather than the one-year deal?
  6. Paul's my favorite Beatle. My folks are debating about seeing Ringo (they were at last night's show and loved it).
  7. That's probably the better way to look at it.
  8. Yeah, I have a bad feeling this is Akoy Agau Part II Only the stakes are higher because Morrow is twice the prospect Agau ever was and the Miles regime is another year in. Yup! This situation just feels bigger.I want this kid!
  9. What's the situation with your couch?
  10. Would LOVE to land these two!
  11. Solid! Aside from the author's inability to use apostrophes correctly.
  12. I don't think Creighton should ever be that game. Late-season conference game seems better suited for this kind of thing. Why? I think it should be whatever game is important for the program. If it's non-conference game vs. Creighton so be it. It's relative to each season. If we get Duke in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge some year, that could be it or it could be an early conference game when Michigan State comes to town. The only qualifier is that it should be a big game. For this team right now, Creighton would qualify, IMO. It may not down the road, but I think it could certainly be in the conversation this year if this is something they want to make a tradition. Creighton and Duke are nowhere near the same universe in this discussion. If Duke ever came to town and we had to promote crowd participation, then I'd question the brains of the entire fanbase. I think you missed the point. I'm saying the "bigness" is relative to the season. And I don't think the arena stands like it did for Wisconsin for any game unless you have some sort of promotion in conjunction with it. There's nothing wrong with a gimmick from time to time.Unless Nebraska and Creighton are both in the top ten/fifteen, I think it will forever be too early in the season for the Creighton game to be all that important to our season. They have little to no prestige (and will probably never have as much as they did last year).
  13. Delete: tried to edit above post and ended up quoting myself. d'oh.
  14. Well, we know he shouldn't have any knee problems. We've already seen he can hyper-extend his knee pushing a wheelbarrow with no problems.
  15. Let's be honest. They've owned us for awhile now. What's wrong with giving our only rival a raucous and difficult atmosphere to play in?If we have to plan something like this for our in-state rival, I question the rivalry. If they're a rival, we shouldn't have to put something together to be a raucous crowd; it should happen naturally.Couldn't you make that argument for every game, especially last year's Wisconsin game (given the circumstances)? Was last year's Wisconsin game against our in-state rival? Was last year's Wisconsin a non-conference game? Did last year's Wisconsin game have little to do with us making the NCAA tournament?I didn't have a problem with No-Sit Sunday last year, as that game was huge in terms of our program and where it was/is heading. When have we ever been able to say that about a game against Creighton? Not here to argue, but discuss. I think that the idea of a "no-sit" game is seen by some as some sort of gimmick. I see it in another way. Maybe it's from sitting in the library that was Devaney for so many years (especially in the post-Nee era), but I prefer an energized, geeked up crowd. A "no-sit" game promotes that. I also absolutely hate Creighton. Yes, we will have a more talented team. But we still have to do more than just show up to win that game. That brings me to my next point. Can we really afford a loss to Creighton this year? I'm not talking in terms of tourney chances, I'm talking about for the projection of the program. If we can't win the state of Nebraska, we have a LONG way to go. Lastly, it's a great showcase for recruiting. I shouldn't have to go into that (recruiting) any further. I initially thought of it as a gimmick...that is, until how well it turned out against Wisconsin. But I'd like us to get to the point where we don't have to have something like this because our crowd is so used to providing big support. Can we afford to lose to Creighton? I don't know...we afforded it last year. Would it be nice to beat them again? Of course. I just don't put that game on the pedestal so many others do.

  20. Did he have hair on his legs? did his leg bend appropriately? does this look appropriate to you? This post is drunk.
  21. It might have something to do with the visits (well, a lot of them) being unofficial. If the university sends out info about an unofficial visit that then has to be cancelled, it might make the recruit look bad, like he's backing out or something. I think it's harder for the university to keep the visits scheduled if they're on the players' dimes.
  22. This is a great idea. I think Creighton used the exact wording last year, so if we could tweak 1-2 words just to make it original, I'd wear one. No way... what a loser's mentality with a shirt like that. Just my opinion. Agreed. The thought (even jokingly) of making a t-shirt celebrating a loss is not intelligent.
  23. Yeah, that couldn't be his pants reacting to his leg moving. His leg and pants do exactly the same thing (and movements) all the time.
