  1. Pretty sure he's from Iowa.
  2. Done. Spread the word on twitter.
  3. Talk to the AD. He is usually leading the rush of fans trying to get out of the arena early. I hardly believe the AD is leaving the PBA. If he's like Boehm, he's outside their locker room or in the tunnel offering congrats as the team and coaches enter.
  4. I'm just saying, that I'm in the tough cookies category. If he's out, no skin off my nose, we're fighting to get in the dance. That's they're problem, not ours...which it seems that most everyone is in agreement with and just said it a little better than I did. Gotcha and I agree.
  5. It'd be the loss of one of their starters (the likely B10 Freshman of the Year) and would increase NU's chances to win. At least for me, that doesn't fall into the "whatevs" category at all.
  6. I think another thing to keep in mind is that we just played two teams who have been excellent defensively as of late. Things may not be as bad as some are making them out to be.
  7. Well, sure, but it's unlikely we go 2-0 this week so for those of us who acknowledge that, these other games are worth following.
  8. It's all guesswork and each analyst has their own number. Some analysts saying 19 wins doesn't make it "our number."
  9. I don't think it's that crazy for someone to think we need to get to 20 wins.
  10. Does anyone know what RPI the Committee actually looks at? In other words, when they sit down in their war room and have their summaries of each team in front of them, which website's RPI is smack dab on that sheet?
  11. Probably not a college athlete who hasn't loafed it once or came to one game mentally unprepared. The key is to learn from it. I don't think one slip-up speaks to character, it speaks to a mistake by a college athlete.
  12. Hopefully the losses at Penn State and Purdue, and the opportunity for payback, keeps them grounded.
  13. Not so sure about that. Everyone I've talked to, and that includes casual fans, seems to realize the importance of this game. Not to mention, as a result of the last 15 years, I don't think there are many who just assume a Nebrasketball game is a win. If anything, most fans always fear that the shoe is going to drop.
  14. You'd waste your 3 questions on one of the last guys on the bench?
  15. Wait, are you suggesting that Miles tanks his first year just so his subsequent years look better? And will get rid of good players just to accomplish that?
  16. What plot? Miles released him and obviously struck out. The end.
  17. Let's all remember that Nebraska struggled mightily in the non-conference last year also. This is a young team. Plenty of time and room to grow and learn.
  18. I thought I remember reading that Miles had tried to get in touch with Fahro several times but communication was silent on Fahro's end. At that point, Miles released him. Not sure if true but I swear I read this somewhere after Miles got hired.
  19. Regarding Boehm's quotes, again, compared to other large arenas, this is more basketball-centric than others. He's spot on in that regard. He's not comparing the PBA to a high school gym, he's not comparing it to the Devaney, he's comparing it to the Century Link's of the world. As someone else pointed out, the PBA is not just a basketball arena. Everyone needs to understand that. When it comes to large arenas, it is more basketball-centric, though. If you want to keep comparing it to the Devaney, then feel free to keep complaining. Did you seriously expect the PBA was going to be like the Devaney????
  20. Norm, I know you keep mocking how intimate the PBA is but you need to quit comparing it to the Devaney. Of course it's not as intimate as the Devaney. Who ever said it would be. When people say it's intimate, it's compared to the arenas like CenturyLink that the PBA should be compared to.
  21. I'm going to need some confirmation from you ER stalkers out there but it's pretty much about the timing. If he's announcing that he's made up his mind where to go to college and initiating contact with players from Ohio St on the same day, that says a lot. Unless you're trying to throw off the masses and thus shock everyone on Tuesday. I doubt that's the reason but it's the only explanation that leaves me a little bit of hope.
  22. The double-whammy. Not only do we not get him but we have to play against him, too.
  23. Yeah it would be real smart to keep the forum named after where we USED to play... I get that change is sometimes uncomfortable for folks, but I don't understand the logic of keeping the forum named after the Devaney Center. Doesn't make sense to me. Yet those people will have an advantage in this voting. The way it is right now, you could say appx. 15% want to keep the same name and 85% want to change the name. Unfortunately for those who want the name changed, their votes will be dispersed over 10-15 different options. The voting structure makes it look like most people want to keep the same name but that's not really the case.
  24. If it were Robinson, wouldn't that be Kenya rather than Chris? Agreed.
