  1. Mast - 6th year of college Gary - 6th year of college Williams - 6th year of college Wilcher - 5th year of college Hopefully their deals are lucrative enough to keep everybody around. They wouldn't need to add very many more players to potentially be really good. And not just really good by Nebraska standards.
  2. Those typically aren't numbers that keep 4/5 star players from transferring.
  3. Michigan State always has the trump card vs Nebraska on getting in the tournament - their jerseys have "Michigan State" written on them.
  4. The strategy of muddying up the game and making it look like rugby won't work against Rutgers, that's akin to deciding to wrestle a pig in mud vs wrestling him in dry dirt.
  5. Not as good as if you swapped him for Ahron Ulis.
  6. Nebraska was at six fouls at the time.
  7. Or, if they just had Ulis available off the bench to occasionally handle pressure defense and Keita available to occasionally go in and stabilize the middle defensively and grab a rebound, they would probably be at least 18-5, and possibly better.
  8. Team Rankings has an algorithm that has passed the test of time. In their data analysis there is a line: IF (teamname="Nebraska") THEN ("They ain't gonna make it, no explanation needed")
  9. Indiana, Ohio State, and Michigan will be calling the same coaches in another month. Which phone call gets picked up first?
  10. The no call when Shannon continued his rape spree with 4 seconds left needs to be mentioned here
  11. Not only the affect of being shocked at fouls actually being called in the first round; it also forces you to recruit differently at the expense of getting more skilled players. You can have 8 really good players on your roster and a team that could make a run in the tournament, but if you aren't big enough and physical enough you're going to end up 7-13 in conference.
  12. I haven't seen anything that choreographed since the Lee Oswald prison transfer
  13. One foul in the first 15 minutes of the second half when they were holding, swatting, and bodying up on defense and going over the back and slapping on the offensive boards. The F job started long before the end of the game.
  14. Everyone who works for BTN is a fucking tool
  15. Fucking Robbie Fucking Hummell is a fucking piece of fucking shit. And fuck Underpants
  16. I fucking know this fucking shit is fucking rigged so the fucking question is why the fuck do I fucking bother to fucking watch. Fucking sorry for the fucking profanity, if you are fucking offended then **** off.
  17. This officiating is a fucking joke
  18. One foul on Illinois in the first 15 1/2 minutes of the second half, while playing as aggressivley as they can. Completely legit.
  19. At that point, would you rather win in the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament and take a shot at winning the championship game, or do you take the extra day of rest before the NCAAs? I'm thinking that if Nebraska is playing their third or fourth straight game on Sunday then the NCAA in their infinite wisdom would ship them to the east coast for a Thursday morning game.
  20. Wisconsin should probably just go home at the 16 minute mark whenever they play in Lincoln.
  21. Will 2026 be a make or break year? If everyone returns for next year, 2026 will be a largely new roster. I'm skeptical that Nebraska would hire someone better; even given the dismal results from the first three years. If a change is made and it isn't the best hire NU has ever made, they will be in danger of becoming a perennial bubble team; the bubble for the Big Ten tournament that is. If you take next year's conference composition and taken that back in time, and limited a conference tournament to 15 teams as planned, Nebraska would most likely have missed the Big Ten tournament 5 to 7 times out of 13 years.
  22. Priority number 1 is convincing Gary, Mast, and Williams to stay around for their sixth year of college.
  23. Over the last 30 years: 15-6 start in 1995, 17-13 finish to regular season, 18-14 overall, NIT. 15-4 start in 1996, 16-13 finish to regular season, 21-14 overall, NIT (champs). 15-6 start in 2006, 17-12 finish to regular season, 19-14 overall, NIT. 15-7 start in 2009, 18-11 finish to regular season, 18-13 overall, NIT. 15-5 start in 2011, 19-11 finish to regular season, 19-13 overall, NIT. 13-4 start in 2018, 16-15 finish to regular season. 19-17 overall, NIT.
  24. Example # 437,286,109,421 that apparently some aspect of living in Iowa City rots your brain
