Also, I know he's a couple inches taller, but Adam Woodbury came in and started as a true freshman for the Hawkeyes. I have to believe that Hammond will give us immediate help inside at the 5. I don't see why he can't give this team 15+ minutes per game next year if we're unsuccessful in landing an older big man. I just hope Hammond's vertical jump is more than 12 inches.

I like the fatheads. I agree that the just the Eichorst fathead isn't funny. Put it next to a Shermanator fathead, and to me that would be funny.

I thought the student section in the early to mid '90's did an awesome job. I don't remember specifically what they did since it was so long ago, but it would be great to maybe adapt some of what they did if anyone on this board can remember some of the things they did. I recall a group of 4-6 students that wore referee jerseys and basketballs as hats, and had various signs to help lead some of the chants.

Is he 1-8 on the season now? Something like that. 1-11 He went 14-39 last year If I recall correctly he started off pretty slow shooting 3's early in the season last year, and then heated up from there as the season went on. Hopefully he starts heating up this Sunday.

New rules prohibit guys from stringing out the process. This past year the draft signing deadline was July 11 whereas before it could be until they set foot in class in August. Pro teams and schools hated the waiting game and finally got their stuff together and put a date a month after the draft for both sides to move on. I'm really glad they made that change because I hated waiting to see if the kids would sign or not.
