  1. Miles Hoiberg mentioned in his radio show that we only have one scholarship open for 2020 so in his mind this is still Donovan's
  2. That and you can roll with Cross or Stevenson at the 5 when you want/need to play small ball
  3. Don't think there was a show last week due to Nebraska being on the Cancun trip Dec 2nd, 2019 Show #5 - Hoiberg Head Coach Fred Hoiberg gives an overview of the tournament Caller John asks about FTs woes, former Huskers that were a tough matchup for HCFH as a player at Iowa St (Pike, Strickland), and finally asks for encouragement for the football team. Caller Tyler asked about the resort (so he can humblebrag about being there) and asked about the team struggling in the 2nd game. HCFH briefly talks abut the team meeting held after the second game. Caller Chris asks about what does the staff do to keep the players focused when they have a big lead. Sioux City Scott asks about Mack coming off the bench though specifically mentions he doesn't need to know why. HCFH talks about how he handled it well in game three and how he has been practicing well since the return from the Caymans. Caller Tom asks HCFH about his thoughts on Mack crossing a guy over and pointing at him. HCFH thinks the team plays better with swagger but had a talk with Mack about it. Greg and HCFH talk about the play of the centers and HCFH refers to Kevin Cross as being a 6'6". Went into detail about Cheatham and Burke stepping up lately. Youth coach John asks HCFH about the mechanics of shooting. Kyle in FIlley doesn't have a question but notes beating Creighton would be fun and just stops. After a pause HCFH delves into Creighton on a high level and then notes Georgia Tech is the focus. Kyle then asks about what attributes he looks for in a recruit and who he is looking for in this cycle. HCFH notes we have one scholarship open and then lists talent to play in B1G, athleticism to play fast, shooting, and then guys that come from winning programs. Delved into Stevenson and the sit out transfers. Finished up the show touching on the 2020 tournament at Myrtle Beach and then looking at the upcoming schedule and playing zone at the end of the South Florida game

    Wtf

Didn't know if I should put this here or in the "Thanks" thread
  11. Oh I saw that. I assumed both were joking around
  12. I'll have to clip it. When did he say it?
  13. Mack was pulled from the starting lineup because he was sulking after yesterday's game
  14. While i can complain about the price and the announcers being the guys from the Sonic commercials, the stream itself has given me no problems
  15. By the end of that letter I started rooting for the NCAA
  16. Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-3) vs South Florida Bulls (3-3) ** Cayman Islands Classic 2019 ** Date: Wednesday Nov. 27, 2019 Time: 4:00 p.m. Arena: John Grey Gym Broadcast: FloHoops+ (pay) ($30) https://www.flohoops.com/ PSA: DON'T SUBSCRIBE TO THE FLOHOOPS $12.95 PLAN OR YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR South Florida Head Coach: Brian Gregory Location: Tampa, FL Conference: American Nickname: Bulls Mascot: Rocky the Bull KenPom rank: 130 Previous history: 1-1 thanks to a Home and Home series in the Collier era Offensive Style: Guards drive the lane / jack 3s Defensive Style: High pressure guards backed by shot blockers Line: South Florida by 2 Bracket Players to watch: Laquincy Rideau and David Collins The Bulls go as these two guards go. Both offensively are aggressively driving to the paint and exceed at drawing contact. Rideau is the better 3 pointer but both will shoot them. Both are poor FT shooters and average approximately 50% from the line. Both generate high numbers of steals on defense and can disrupt an offense (jokes on them as our half court offense isn't really working anyway) You might remember Rideau from the Gardner Webb team that knocked off Nebraska in 2016. The Skinny: Nebraska looks to bounce back after a thrashing at the hands of George Mason. Brian Gregory brings back most everyone from last year's 24 win team though arguably their most dynamic post player in Alexis Yetna has been out all year so the Bulls have mostly relied on their guards and defense to win games. South Florida has a lot of height though it's mostly utilized for rim protection/rebounding as opposed to offense. Look for Nebraska to struggle again on the boards though not as much as last game. The Huskers seem to ping-pong like immature teams do so the effort missing from Tuesday probably shows up on Wednesday. Defensively, Nebraska's guards will need to be mindful to guard without fouling which has been a problem for Mack and Green in this tourney. The Huskers are going to struggle against this defense in the half court. They're going to need to turn South Florida turnovers into points and should get plenty of opportunities. Both teams are poor shooting FT teams. In what very well could be a close game the team who makes the most here might just pull out the win. Prediction: Nebraska 71 - South Florida 68 View full article

  18. We only have D-1 numbers on some of these guys. Cheatham has been more of a slasher than shooter and that's what we're seeing here. Kavas seems like he's struggling and at some point they'll start dropping. Burke isn't finishing at the rim as well as he should otherwise that's about right for him. Guys will go up and down. Cross was sitting at maybe 11% from 3 after the first two games and now he's at 38% Was hoping Green and Mack would have better numbers given they will dominate the shots this year.
