Considering that he turned himself from nobody into a power 5 talent and spent the year getting his butt kicked by bigger guys while asking for more I feel like motivation is no problem.

We streamed "Knives Out" last night and it's quite good and is along this lines in terms of a whodunit

Kobe as a freshman was shooting at a higher rate than Tai did in his senior year. How much is he willing to cut down on that to look for high percentage shots for him or his teammates? Kobe jacking up contested mid-range twos isn't going to fly with this team. FWIW as a guy who was the focal point for a bad offense his entire career he is experienced in creating and taking the tough shots you might need at the end of a game. I think maybe that was Burke or Mack this year but it didn't really feel like we had someone that great for this.

I also think that Yvan would have a shot at making an NBA roster in the 70s. All jokes aside I think he can provide a Leslee Smith like value to this team and I mean this in a positive manner. For his lack of explosiveness and shooting ability he also seems to possess a good basketball IQ and can handle the pace of this offense.

In all honesty we'll be lucky if we have a college football season and college basketball starts on time next year.

It would seem Webster is able to transfer because he had enough credits to be a sophomore when he started school and he graduated in 3 years.

A little more to this story. Rick Stansburry is a notorious 'play the starting 5' guy and Banton wouldn't probably have been playing much at all if senior PG Lamonte Bearden wasn't ineligible to start the season. Once Bearden got re-established himself that was the end for Banton. As far as the turnovers, Western Kentucky was essentially running a dribble-drive type offense. Why Banton was turning the ball over matters; his assist to turnover ratio doesn't matter because i can assure you it will be better here even if he turns the ball over significantly more. Maybe he's a liability if people start pressuring us bringing the ball up the court but seems like he should be a capable distributor in this offense . At 6'8" it's hard to imagine him not being better for our defense than Mack. We've had guys like Petteway and Palmer transfer in here after barely playing and become one of our best players. How is it that hard to fathom that Banton could do the same?

For all the jokes we absolutely want him or anyone to make the NBA.
