  1. I hope it's improved his explosiveness and his quicks. Not that he was slow or unexplosive before, but just adding weight for the sake of adding weight usually just benefits centers and offensive linemen. The other thing is that, along with all the effort he would have obviously had to put in while working out, I hope he's put in that much or more work improving his shot. I know there was a blurb that he and Petteway were doing a lot of shooting, but working on your shot involves more than just doing a bunch of shooting. The old adage was "practice makes perfect." But Jack Nicklaus always said "Practice makes permanent; only perfect practice makes perfect." It's not enough to just go in there and shoot and shoot and shoot if what you're doing only serves to reinforce bad habits. im hoping that he's gotten bigger, but in the since that like Jeter, he was still fast, and quick just ridiculously large for a PG. if that is the case it could help in the event that his shot isnt falling, when you look at guys who big physical strong guards, like Jeter, Marcus Smart, and various NBA guys, when their shot isnt dropping they just drive and overpower you, at times last year he wanted to do that, but Tai just didnt have the physical build yet. im hoping for the best.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L53gjP-TtGE set it with some pyro or lights..i like it
  3. scary thought that Tai has gotten a lot bigger... i mean just naturally he was a big pg coming in...but now..yeesh if its as extra muscle and bulk to add to those drives to rim, with some returned confidence good gracious lord almighty we could see some highlights.
  4. yea, what came next was OT from this board, but im excited none the less, Ralston Arena is in talks with the nuggets, or possibly bucks to snag a NBDL team. Creighton will not be playing UNO this year which is slightly disappointing
  5. is that for sure? just announced on Sharpe and Benninning, so im assuming so.
  6. Nov 25th UNO vs UNL at The Vault!
  7. So. What you're saying is, he doesn't? Shies away from contact. Too finesse. On behalf of Cip, I feel compelled to add that he didn't shy away from contact that night in Antelope Park.....
  8. Good ole fantasy basketball. So took Robertson,Jordan,Dr J,Nowitzki,Olajuwon Stockton, West, Lebron, Nowitzki, Shaq...with a dollar left over for a good 6th man...i like this team, inside out pass first point guard, stretch 4, punishing inside players BOOM
  9. Yes, this guy is a playmaker. High level recruit out of high school. I would classify him as a major transfer. Good schools were after him; supposedly including Alabama and 'Ol Miss. described has a bigger faster, strong with more expericnce at his age version of Enunwa...id say so.
  10. aside from the first round..these NBA playoffs are excruciating...NBA refs are some of the worst when it comes to consistency, the fouls last night were absurd, and the inability to play defense is crazy..i am excited for the World Cup..which will distract me from Pirates slipping into another losing season...unless we can trade for some pitching...i hate the offseason as well
  11. i dont care if he's 6'4 like chuck barkley, dudes game is big ten ready, he has long strong arms, and solid frame, like that freshmen wisky had this year.
  12. that's what im thinking, you need guys either has part time starters or bench guys who can simpy go get it ex: Caleb Walker. I like this kid i hope we pick him up.
  13. I haven't seen any news. So at this point, if he is offered, there won't be a letter of intent involved so any commitment will just be a word of mouth agreement? Or he could sign a financial aid agreement? any news?
  14. the Adidas contract agrees to outfit all sports...some all sports benifit from Adidas, if a kid is going to pick a school based on their on uniform, ill say it once, and ill say it again. I dont want em.
  15. hope this kid has a good workout, we offer he signs....red shirt with hammons get in the weight room, work on some fundamentals to go with that freak athleticism....and we go out and sign Dwight Smith have him offer some leadership.
  16. Does UNLV even have anybody left on their team to run off to make room for new guys? yea..Jordan Cornish...
  17. Looks like a freak athlete for sure. Someone who could be a good matchup for us on the defensive end. My guess is if he gets an offer he will be N. maybe a four year version of Caleb Walker? http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/highschools/boys-basketball-coolidges-jamall-gregory-aims-to-prove-hes-more-than-a-high-flyer/2014/01/06/f4b8802c-76b3-11e3-8963-b4b654bcc9b2_story.html good article about him
  18. Well alrighty then. Back at it. For this year? And will they commit today? For this fall and possibly. Do you have a name? his name is dalton First name or last name??? I think that was a roadhouse reference. i thought it was funny..

  20. id like to use them, Dwight Smith who ive have been hyping way to much would be a slight upgrade over giving it to a walk on, but not quite as good as getting a actual contributor, that leaves one to leave open all summer just in case something come ups, which if it dosnt than give it to Kye or whomever.
  21. Sooren Derboghosian 6'10" from UCLA; he sounds like a character for Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit or Game of Thrones...
  22. I'll hold out hope that Poor mans D12 (aka Tall Version of Patric Young) makes a trip to Lincoln and likes what he see's he'' have a pass first PG, athletic PF who can space the floor for him. Some good pieces for him to walk into.
  23. exactly...there is a kid in Dwight Smith, that if Cornish says no on Tuesday that im pretty sure if Miles calls him Tuesday night, that he would accept and we have one sport filled by a guy with senior leadership and some outside shooting, Than we continue to mine through the fields of leftover talent for the last spot, and maybe snap a transfer who has to sit out, or something similar. (Full Disclosure: Im not Dwight Smith, i just feel rather that having him on the team would be better than just not using a scholarship)
