SeatGeek Ticket Sale -- Problem Getting Paid

This is good advice and what I do...I have a savings account that I only use for SeatGeek, Venmo, etc. and I always transfer money out if the balance ever gets over $100. -

You see the talent in flashes, so he's definitely not bad. And I don't think he's selfish; he's seems engaged even when he's not playing. A true sophomore is still pretty young in my eyes. Mostly, I think it just hasn't "clicked" for him yet...and I'm not sure if it will. I think it's possible he might just be a slow processor or info, which he could get away with in HS because he was just better than the competition and the offenses/defenses aren't as complex. I will keep my fingers crossed that it clicks because I can't watch him just get the ball taken from him one more time. -

I'm starting to see why Rutgers fans never seemed too upset when he transferred. He's got all the talent, but the game seems to move too fast for him. They keep saying he shoots great in practice, but practice speed ain't game speed. Seems like he can't shoot when he's rushed. -

I think everyone has sufficiently addressed the obvious reasons for the loss (missed FTs & layups, inconsistent defense, horrible officiating)… What I would have liked to have seen though, besides a killer instinct when you have a team down big, is more “booty ball” from Rollie and lobs to Meah. Rollie had a huge mismatch against their little PG and was effective a couple of times just backing him down, but we went away from it. I would have liked to see more of that to force Iowa to double team, allowing spray-out passes for open shots. We were also effective throwing the ball up to Meah in the paint and should have gone to him more, especially once Freeman got in foul trouble. It was obvious Iowa had no answer for his size and we didn’t take advantage. Alas, what could have been a needle-moving road win turned into another disappointing loss; it’s déjà vu all over again. -
I was thinking the same thing. Milwaukee wouldn't be too bad either.

You go sub-50% from the FT line on 20+ attempts...I don't care who you are, you deserve to lose.

It'd be worth it though.

Am I the only one that likes that we're not ranked? I'd like to fly under the radar as long as possible so the guys get a nice boulder-sized chip on their shoulder.

I just want to shout-out Juwan Gary. He plays with an edge and consistently makes winning plays. When UCLA was trying to come back and steal it at the end, it was Gary who slammed the door shut. It was also Gary who knocked down a couple 3s, forcing UCLA to guard him, which helped open up the floor for Brice to get to the rim (and get fouled). I do tire of some fans complaining about him taking 3s. His shot has obviously improved, and is to the point where he should be taking 3-5 open/rhythm 3s per game. The threat of him shooting opens things up for everyone. He just shouldn't try to make a living out there, and he hasn't. Gary is a program-changer, and I don't think we will understand just how valuable he is to this program until he's gone. I'd love to see the record of games with Gary in the lineup versus the same number of games without him. -

Shout out to Eduardo Andre who was West Virginia's leading scorer today in their upset win at Kansas. WV was missing two of their top guys but it was no problem for Big Ed. E. Andre 15 Points, 7/9 FG, 1/2 FT, 6 Rebs, 3 Assists -

Has Griffiths proven more though? With the money Rutgers had to spend in the offseason, there is a reason they let him walk. I was excited when he transferred here because I was also going off of the games he played against NU last year, but we apparently only brought out the best in him when he is on the other team. Rice appears to have done more with fewer opportunities. Since both seemed to get lost on defense, I would much rather be bringing Rice off the bench for his shooting and versatility attacking the basket than what I've seen from GG this year. I think Rice just got bad advice or had delusions of grandeur if he transferred to another P5 and expected to start...probably should have transferred to a mid-major for more PT. Griffiths: Rice: -

This makes we wonder if the question instead should have been "who would you rather have Eli Rice or Gavin Griffiths?" Eli basically hasn't played at all for PSU this year, but seemed to have a nice upside during his one year in Lincoln. Whereas Gavin his been underwhelming (to say the least) for NU. -

These highlights with Kent's call are great... -
Yeah, I was just looking at the NET ranks without looking up the quad cutoffs and thinking of avoiding any Q3 or Q4 losses since that was such a positive for our resume last year. After checking...Minny, Rutgers and USC are the 3 we have to beat at home and probably need to beat UW on the road. Other than that, getting to .500 in B1G games should be enough to be in comfortably.

There's really only a couple remaining chances to take a horrible loss...home games against Southern and Minnesota and maybe at Washington. I kind of expect a letdown after the Hawaii tournament, but I hope I'm wrong and the guys realize the importance of going out and beating the brakes off Southern; it's our last chance to impress the computers before getting into the B1G meat grinder.

This is an excellent point I also wanted to make. Our guys have done a great job of closing games, making games that are close going into the last 4 minutes not so close at the end. It demonstrates a resolve that I've rarely seen out of Husker teams in the past and can't be understated because I expect them to be in *a lot* of close games in conference play. Last night, they turned a game that was basically a 2 possession game the entire time into a 12 point win in the final minutes (it helps that OSU inexplicably fouled with 9 seconds left). That 6-8 point swing is big for our confidence, perception, and most importantly our metrics.
