The farther away you park the easier it is to get out. Of course you have to actually use your footmobiles a bit more to get there but that is also good for you. Win, win. My son and I were at the Cincy game and stayed to the bitter end. Walked a couple + blocks to the car and got right out of there and back to Omaha within the hour.

Tonight? Homemade doggy treats. Smash a ripe banana in bowl and mix in... 2/3 cup old fashioned oats 1 cup oat flour* 1 beaten egg 3 tablespoons peanut butter Roll into 24 smallish balls and press down. Bake in 300 degree oven for 30 to 40 mn.** *just process your oats in a food processor for a couple of mn and you have oat flour (who knew?) **my old girl prefers them a bit moist so I only leave them in for 30 mn. and I score them before I put them in so they break in half easily.

Don't forget the way the season started. If someone had told me at the end of noncon that we would be sitting here waiting I would have taken it in a heartbeat. So I refuse to be disappointed if we do not get in this season

Really? Shatel has been such an a-hole about Nebraska Basketball for so long that I could care less what he has to say now. He can go kiss some more Creighton butt & keep ignoring us for all I care. But I am not bitter or anything

I feel some of the hype (if not most) is related to the way things have gone wrong in prior off-seasons. In the past these drama's always seemed to play out the wrong way. This could be seen as the last hurdle to a "clean" start to the season. And another corner turned for the program. JMHO

He sued the U of M when Tubby Smith offered him a job and the AD made him re-sind it due to Williams prior stint under Jim Dutcher (agreed by all as a low point for the program) He was awarded 1.2 million for lost wages. Any violations were well before his first coaching job at Nebraska. If there is something new then it is not common knowledge. Went to the MN Supreme Court, they sided with the UofM. Williams will not be gettting a cent. Right, but there is no new NCAA Violation, and therefore no reason for him not to work at Nebraska again. Just trying to briefly review why his name has been bandied about in the media recently.

In what way shape or form is Toby Keith a "new" country artist? Relative to Willie Nelson, yes but Toby has been around and on the radio way longer than his recent persona. So if you were in college and someone offered you the opportunity to work for way more money than you could ever make in your field of study, you would not jump at it? You would prefer the "experience" of going to college and hunting for a decent job and working your way up the financial ladder instead? These guys can only play at that high of a level for a limited amount of time. If they want to finish their college degrees it will still be possible later. Maybe not free but they would need a free education less than most. And that assumes that some of these guys even want the free education. Some really are only there in the first place because of the sport. And it opens the door for someone else who just may want the education. I always thought they should have to pay back the scholarship money if they leave early for the draft however.
