WBB: Game #31 vs Iowa (B1G Tournament Championship)
HB replied to Row6Seat10's topic in Row 6 Seat 10
Having to guard the 3 point line as well as the paint, unlike last night where we packed the paint and didn't need to guard the 3, will be a challenge. Hopefully playing 4 games will take a toll on Iowa. I expect a very tough game. -
WBB: Game #30 vs Michigan State (B1G Tournament Semi-Finals)

Great night for the Huskers. So many players showed up big, none more than Havers, of course. Which allowed Hooper to play only 23 minutes, which could pay off big today. Perhaps lost in the Havers highlights was an unbelievable performance by T Laudermill. I thought this might have been her best all-around game as a Husker (and yes, I was at the Penn State game in Lincoln). Great job T! -
We had some of the recurring issues (this time a brutal throwing error by DeLeon) we've had, but Taylor Fish's game winning RBI was just an incredible sports story. Just a great effort by that young man in defying the odds.

I'm talking about the ones who don't just cheer for Creighton, but who also hate Nebraska basketball. Anyway, Kenny has always supported the other mens and women's sports at NU, and is a cool dude.

What's even more nuts is 39 minutes, 18 assists, and only 1 turnover. Hooper with an oh by the way 33 and 12

Talk to the AD. He is usually leading the rush of fans trying to get out of the arena early. I hardly believe the AD is leaving the PBA. If he's like Boehm, he's outside their locker room or in the tunnel offering congrats as the team and coaches enter. You may be right - but it sure doesn't appear that way. When you see Boehm or other athletic department people at the games it is pretty obvious they are working and moving around the arena for that purpose. SE just is in a seat until the rest of the crowd starts to leave and he goes out at basically that time. He does go out the north side (NW corner) where no one else can go - not the locker room / courtside booster exit - but the same end at least so may be he is going to the locker room in an indirect way. But, that is also the exit direclty toward the administration parking spots so it at least makes it look like he is leaving. I don't want to make a great big deal out of it and as I said you may be right about what he is doing. But if you are right - he exits in a strange way. Why doesn't he go over to the exit the team will go out and stand there and wait and watch the end of the game. That what you sometimes see Boehm or Paul Meyers doing. The timing of when he leaves is also odd - not the same each game - just when it first appears the outcome is decided. Again - I don't know for sure what he is doing. But if I was in his position I would be aware enough about the appearance of things to not make it look like I was just heading home before the game was over - whether or not that was in fact what I was doing. SE = The Ghost. Your observations would be consistent with how he goes about his business.

I have always thought highly of Kenny. But now that he has proven, through his latest tweeting performance, to get the issues prevalent with the dreaded species of the Jaysker, I love him even more. Perhaps one of you twitter people out there can link his "fistpump" tweet about Creighton's latest loss, which is causing Jayskers everywhere to hyperventilate.

Great post Row 6; thanks for staying on top of everything for us!

I don't think Miles' tradition is to start the seniors. There's probably a quote out there somewhere to that effect. So not starting the seniors won't be a change or reaction to anything.

HHCC Game #29 - March 5 vs. Indiana (6:00 PM)

The same thing that's been going on for 3 years now....zero progression under this staff. Not impressed with Erstad and his thus far. Can't blame Anderson this year. It's extremely early but we are going to have to play much better to sniff a regional. I'm disappointed with the start to the season, but to say there has been zero progression is a gross exaggeration.

What's the name of the former player with the giant white afro who come back every year? Wilson Fitzpatrick?

This. Logic (Iowa) also.

Still a long ways to go defensively. Every time Havers was in the game (not very minutes total), Illinois went right at her. The scouting report was "If you catch it with 22 on you, immediately go to the hoop." As noted, she made some good plays on offense. Got exposed on defense.

Nice. Very cool tribute from Terran. I remember when we recruited Ronnie. Moe always liked to take the recruits to the original Grandmothers on Sun Valley. Moe, Randy Cip, David Ponce and a couple of others were there. 6' 9" was pretty big for a Moe team back then, and Ronnie looked like he would really help us. Didn't end up being a great player, but he was a great guy. Glad for this tribute.

It may have been more a case of fatigue, vs. lack of intensity. We really looked tired out there. I'm sure we'll take today off, and hopefully Saturday's practice will be light. Big challenge to go to Purdue and win under the circumstances.

Completely agree here. We do have a tendency in thinking we have to match good shooting teams 3 for 3. Illinois was a good shooting team last night, but really isn't good shooting team. Wisconsin, on the other hand, is a good shooting team. We will need to play very, very well to win that one.

We haven't heard from Coughunter for awhile, but this may just bring him out....

And her sister. Wear red. Promote Sister Act at the next level. Row 6, Seat 10, please report back on your observations!

Sorry Miles Davis, I didn't realize this started out other than on the Fall Sports section; shouldn't have down-arrow you; someone can up arrow to balance. As for OP, no, Minnesota shouldn't be ranked ahead of us on football. They had a defensive tackle who will be a first round draft choice. They overachieved last year, and caught us at a perfect time. We have more returning talent and experience. So for preseason 2014, we should easily be ranked ahead of Minnesota, and no one is getting screwed.

6-0 doesn't let a guy make up any ground on Silverback. Not in this league!

Damn, Kamler, you are even older than me. But not as old as Jimmy! Great stuff; I can relate, but missed the first few years.
