  1. My guess is Hohensee would be the fourth starter. I think Hirsch has been too valuable out of the pen this year. Getting excited for the tournament...I won't be able to attend tomorrow's game and my office windows overlook TD Ameritrade so it will be torture for me.Agree. Colton Howell would probably be next in line. Unless all the sudden Burkamper gets out of the doghouse and gets a try.I like the Greco kid before Hoensee or Howell, Howell has good stuff but I'm looking at maturity and tanit is where Greco has it and the other two don't IMHO. Greco has went 4 to 5 Innings and is just crafty enough to stay in a game. I think Greco would probably be the best option...but you have to get to that point to even worry about it so I would hope we use Greco out of the pen if we need him. If we don't have to burn him some innings then I think he would be our best option. I believe they will keep Greco in the pen. And as 13 says, he will likely be used too much in relief during the early games to start a game 4.

  3. Yes!!!
  4. That's a great pic. Like this guy!
  5. My favorite county, no doubt.
  6. Cheer loud and hard, and bring home a win for us. I failed miserably! Would have been better off going to Trumbull and eating barbeque. The Illini have a good squad. Best team I have seen in Haymarket this year. If we win the series it will be a very good accomplishment.
  7. Heading to Haymarket soon to take it in. GBR!
  8. Just back from the game. Not a big crowd, but it was very supportive and enthusiastic. Good pitching and defense from both teams. 36 wins!
  9. Good historical post, Decay. The stat that jumps out to me is this: ONE season at .500 or better in 14 years. Wow. That says it all in the futility category.
  10. Game cancelled. Murphy's law of transportation in full bloom. Good tweets by the boys from the road.
  11. Barring a late season swoon and a screw job from the NCAA I have to think we locked up a regional bid. Huskers flight was cancelled last evening so they had to charter a bus to Omaha for tonight's game. Yeah, tonight could be a challenge. But, the guys are young, and school is out.
  12. I'm not the one making unsupported statements on here
  13. Do have any actual information to back this claim? Are is it just a total supposition on your part? We "Probably" could have had him? Based on what? Do you have any info on how hard we did or didn't' recruit him?
  14. Glad he moved. He wouldn't fit in. We're nice here
  15. Huskers sweep!!
  16. Another nice road win. Starting to look like a 3 bid league.
  17. Interestingly enough, Coach Barnes' name was just mentioned on 10/11 as having sent in a picture of a demolished building west of here.
  18. If Deleon comes back, who knows. That's a pretty important piece of the puzzle; hoping for the best.
  19. Dana went to the dark side to up the talent level. He may be wishing he was over-achieving at a midmajor rather than having to deal with this.
  20. I expect Row 6 and you to attend and give us all a first hand report!
  21. Not a fan of Cox? Just didn't seem like a high level assistant for the Big 12 level when he was here; he was definitely "available" at the end when things were looking bleak, and that may say it all. Not a strong recruiter, not a rising star, not a splash. Not sure what Doc is budgeted for assistants but I was thinking he could get someone more dynamic.
  22. Oh my, I was wondering if Cox would get this gig. IMO not a good sign for Doc.
  23. Thanks Kansas; great information. It is interesting that Missouri was able to keep both of these players at home. MU has had a rough 15 years; perhaps it is ready to move up in the world
  24. two girls from the same high school in Missouri. How good will that team be? Both committed to Missouri. Perhaps Mizzou will make a run.
  25. Sounding more and more as if practically the whole coaching staff let go at Kansas St will be on staff at Colorado St. Only thing different will be Etheridge and Patterson will change titles. Poor Kourteney she didn't sign up for this. Row, I'm confused--did you mean UNC vs. CSU?
