  1. vegas not anymore clued in than the rest of us. ouch. hopefully something clicks here soon.
  2. Or will it? (dun dun DUNNNNN!)
  3. ugh, at the buzzer. here's to one heck of a halftime turnaround. at least I can get the "no miracle turnaround" temptation out of my system early. Always a plus.
  4. 81 points may have been a bit optimistic. let's go big red.
  5. yikes. going to be a lotta teaching going on this season if I'm interpreting what I'm hearing correctly. I'll defer to those of you who can see this.
  6. boy, did I pick a bad time to get rid of cable. lol %&*^ how they look? Good to hear Kent, though.
  7. all these years of baseline to baseline promises and this could be the evening of deliverance? loyola 2: hoopster boogaloo
  8. well done, Dimes. :) Thanks for the skinny.
  9. Totally agree. Miles would be an ideal successor to Vitale.
  10. I've never had less clue about an NU hoops team than I do this one. Which makes this game more fun, since it's going to be throwing darts for two months at random numbers. NU-82 Riverside-70 Non-conf--6 Season--12
  11. Thor in. Gotta bring in the old blood.
  12. nope. we're just not being very serious.
  13. OMG! BOat raced by Doane! heh heh
  14. well, it's not like nobody saw size and interior play as being a major issue for the upcoming season. Concern confirmed, as it were.
  15. this program's in complete shambles. the thing needs a Hoiberg-like flush form the top down.
  16. or, as the sign says, the "beef". bow chicka bow bow? I need more sleep.
  17. that football team is flat out not good. but we still haven't gotten used to our new status as "meh".
  18. Not sure how we get above .500 overall in hoops short of a near miracle of talent revelation. Football going to struggle to reach .500 with that tire fire. I wish there was a "too painful to contemplate" option on this poll.
  19. geez, take some time off to watch football continue to implode and this stuff happens. all this hoops intrigue!
  20. hahahaha. "And we're just the blueblood program to do it! Let's do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Self: "Well, do what you will to KU, but we're not going to sit here while you bad-mouth the United States of America! Hookers!"
  21. I guess I'm the only one that thinks that if you're already going down in flames, make it a bonfire to remember. There's a certain style required to put an exclamation point on what is essentially a career in crime. I tip my hat to whomever said, "we're getting the death penalty anyway, let's get those middle fingers up to all these hypocrites." KU wants to win at all costs. Well, they did. Here's the bill.
  22. hahahahaha. i love it. it's the worst judgment ever. glorious.
  23. No whammies! Sorry. I'm old.
  24. this is a relatively rare, total re-model of a program. That's not going to happen instantly. We're in one of the toughest conferences in the country. I think you temper expectations naturally. I'm content to just see what plays out in the first two months. I do think that if this roster has any ambition of making a 2020-21 run in the tourney, they'll likely need to be an NIT caliber squad by the end of season 1. You can tell I was never big on shaking the Xmas presents to guess what was in them, eh? :)
  25. tv loves the current set up. using all the time outs and game stoppages means more ads. I read Zirin do an article on that several years ago and he calculated that the ad time during college basketball games went up about 25-30 percent, which over time is millions of dollars for large regional or national productions. game stoppages are an advertisers best friend, which is why so many sports have so many more of them these days.
