  1. I do not see much talk about Moo's top 3 (maybe i missed it). So serious question, is Hoiberg collectively agreed upon as a given for our next HC?
  2. If Hoiberg is in fact the guy, he will more than likely be able to keep any recruit from the class if he chooses to do so. Same goes for every returning player imo. Oh hey Roby, wanna play in the NBA??? Dont worry i know exactly what level you need to be on and what skills you need bc i coached with and against NBA forwards EVERY SINGLE GAME. Now who he chooses to keep is a different story. *Minus Nana. I think. Hes gone no matter who the next coach is.
  3. El oh el. I just wanted to be clear. Bc i can think of a few people on here who apparently keep a little black book of everything everyone says just to bring it up YEARS later ???
  4. Just to be clear, I was just stating that I personally didnt see anything on Arop. Not trying to speculate that his commitment is waivering. Just haven't seen/read/heard anything on this thoughts about Miles being fired.
  5. Lol not the handful of deep tourney runs and conference championships?
  6. Jervay, MAW, and Donovan Williams all said they really liked Miles. But are still committed to Nebraska and will wait to see how the relationship with the new coach is. Havent found anything on Arop yet.
  7. Miles really hooked me as a Nebrasketball fan. I cheered for them but never had that strong connection before Miles got here. Now im a die hard and Husker Hoops is my favorite sports team (believe it or not). Goodluck to him he is a great guy. If he works on his weaknesses he can be a really good coach. If not, he can still be successfull at middle or lower level conference.
  8. Definitely talented. I think he was just that undersized PF that you werent really sure if he could handle his own against guys who were just as atheletic (if not more) and bigger and stronger. I know while at UNO he struggled with foul trouble against Summit League level teams, which to me, suggests he'd have been eaten alive in the Big Ten. However, idk if he improved in that area during his redshirt year and senior year at Neveda.
  9. Exercise Science is not Physical Education. And lets not try to insult Exercise Science by calling it "teaching gym" bc it just ends up being an insult to both professions. Sincerely, A PE teacher who loves his job and takes it very seriously
  10. I dont think my expectations are too high. Ive said something along the lines of 2 NCAAs and 2 NITs in 6 year span would be a good place to start. With hopefully that elusive first NCAA win in there. I think there are alot coaches that I think could do that here, Hoiberg included. Just gotta be able to land one. ?
  11. Gotta play the odds and go with basketball? Two opportunities every year (regular season and tourney title). But I would definitely guess football since the direction of the basketball program is up in the air rn.
  12. 35-40 minutes of Roby and i think we win this game or if Palmer doest start 0-10. Definitely couldnt afford both of those to happen and expect to come out with a dub.
  13. He had one against @ Illinois earlier this year im pretty sure. 12 pts and 18 reb that game.
  14. Hopefully Palmer awakens and Roby can stay in the game. TCU hasnt really shown me anything to think we cant get back in it.
  15. P5 scholarship worthy but should be closer to that 12th or 13th scholarship guy. Not a starter by any means.
  16. Too many missed FTs already ??
  17. Im getting my popcorn ready bc there are a handful of ppl on this board who seem to think they are the smartest person in the room and will prob take offense to this. ???
  18. Havent been able to attend a game this year, so really hoping we can pull it off so i can catch em in Omaha on Tuesday ?
  19. Read the title of the thread lol. NOT EVERY SINGLE THREAD ON THIS BOARD IS ABOUT HOIBERG ??
  20. Im predicting a handful of second round losses for the B1G. We will probably see what we saw throughout the regular season. A very deep conference but not a lot of heavy hitters. My guess is 2 maybe 3 teams in the Sweet 16. But i also know nothing lol.
  21. Yes its definitely more of an intriguing/stimulating thought process for me rather than a stressful one.
  22. Another thought I had this morning, is can we use Borchardt and Trueblood to help get more of that low to mid level talent in the state to walk on? Borchardt has been on scholarship for 3 semesters. I thought i heard Trueblood was on for the second part of this academic year. Say they offer him a spot to come back next year, then he would also have been on athletic scholarship for three semesters as well (big if, i know). Does that help change the mind frame of guys who can either afford their college expenses or can get it paid through other allies (academic scholarship/federal aid)? I know its a lot easier in football bc theres so many more spots and players. But theres also alot more proof for these kids to show that theres a decent chance they can be on scholarship by the time they are upperclassmen. Thoughts?
  23. But its sooooooo fun. ??? Plus i can only think about Moos, Tim Miles, and Fred Hioberg so much lol. But i get your point.
  24. Trying to find a balance between the Hioberg hype train and also not getting sucked in too much to the show Miles and the boys ar putting on rn. Thinking about next year does have me very intrigued, however. - Thomas Allen and Isaiah Roby as top dogs - Intriguing players such as Jervay Green and Dachon Burke added to the mix - Returning bench pieces in Amir, Thor, Brady, and Trueblood (maybe?) - And an influx of young talent with MAW, Arop, and Karrington Davis There are still some holes to plug. And a lot of question marks. Can Isaiah Roby be THE MAN if he returns? Is Jervay Green a player player? Can Dachon Burke play at this level? What type of growth will we see from our bench players? Who do we get for front court help? Will any of our freshmen become that elusive impact freshman that has eluded Miles during his time here? Just some thoughts as im waiting for the second round to kick off this AM.
  25. It was a valiant effort on your part but I say we do not make any new threads until this is over bc they will all turn into the same thing ??? Only half way joking.
