  1. Do we think he will wait until the deadline to decide or what?
  2. Especially with how AW3 did at Kansas. I'm sure it's easy to to turn that into "see I helped develop this guy into an NBA player, Bill self couldn't even do that!" or something along the lines of that.
  3. I'm a huge NBA fan but am far from a talent scout, realistically how much of a chance does AW3 have? Obviously his shooting gives him a chance but he is not athletic enough to play the 2 and even the 3 could be a stretch as he would slightly be on the small and unathletic side of that position in the NBA. Also, does anyone know is it NBA or bust? Or is he considering overseas as an option?
  4. Surprised more players from our team didn't do it. You get specific feedback from NBA people about what you need to improve on and it doesn't mess with your eligibility.
  5. Does King get the start against Creighton? I don't recall him pitching at all this series.
  6. Always nice to win. Hopefully they can keep grinding and get hot come tourney time. No question we can win the Big Ten tournament if hitting and pitching can click at the same time.
  7. If he is as good as he sounds, hopefully getting in on him early pays off.
  8. Gotta think next year is the determining year as to whether DE is kept around or not.
  9. I caught the post game show and it said he wasn't over powering at all but he was throwing strikes and in control the whole game.
  10. Much needed performance by Burkamper. The bull pen is extremely shallow this weekend and with 5 games next week we have to get good outing from out starters.
  11. Would love to see UNO offer. If they aren't good enough to come play for big brother than little brother has to lock them up.
  12. Got his first two offers today, South Dakota State and North Dakota I believe. South Dakota State is a major offer imo. It will be interesting to see how we play it.
  13. Can he play center? 6'9 is a solid height but he seems a bit thin to be considered a true center. His wing span could really be a game changer tho if it is 7+ feet.
  14. Seems like Barnaba is a backup plan if we strike out with some other targets. If we don't land some "bigger names" he prob gets a late offer. Anyone agree?
  15. We SHOULD sweep the upcoming weekend series. And we need too. Hopefully we do sweep and get some momentum going to finish the season strong.
  16. Completely agree. I am a huge Petteway fan but he often seemed to give off a lot of negative energy when things weren't going our way. Shavon just never seemed to be very vocal but I think he improved alot his senior year in that category. AW3: see Shavon. Hopefully he works on his leadership qualities during the off season. He's a good player and good players are easy to follow. Tai doesn't seem to handle adversity well enough to be the teams leader. He's quick to get down on himself and that tends to effect his play negatively.
  17. Can we count on one hand how many times a SP has pitched over 5 innings this season? Being serious bc I can't recall too many outings where they did.
  18. I honestly think this team might just be coming back to reality. If I recall correctly they were not projected to be that great of a team this year.
  19. I'm an optimist, but man is this eerily similiar to last year.
  20. Basically I think we are a year a way from having an impactful big. Whether that be from a transfer who has to sit out or a freshman that will take his lumps playing big boy basketball. I'd be willing to bet that Jacobson is the starting "center" next year. The good thing is I don't think we need an impactful center to get to where we want to go next yyear. Just a solid one.
  21. I don't think we land a big that gives us over 20 minutes a game. Jordy has only been playing basketball for what like 4 or 5 years? Big Ten will be a big step up and I think foul trouble will be a huge issue which will occasionally limit his playing time. The JUCO seems more like a depth provider and could be a solid backup with 10 to 15 minutes a game. Other than that, I don't know of any other big men we are in with that are eligible for next season.
  22. Been wanting to do it. But I've been trying to wait until we fill out our roster.
  23. Walt wasn't unexpected. At the time, it was for me. I hadn't discovered this board yet so I didn't get all the inside info I get now from here.
  24. I don't see the big deal anyway. Isn't two transfer a year the average across D1. It's not like we lost someone unexpectedly like Tarin Smith or Walt last year.
  25. Huge double play to keep it a one score game.
