  1. Definitely agree he needs more intensity on defense/rebounding after watching the last couple games. Instincts seem pretty good. He has to hate playing with those guards (on both ends). They don’t move the ball at all, then take crap shots. They should hav run things thru him, he made the right pass most every time. He should fit in well on the offensive end.
  2. He was definitely gimpy in the 4th quarter unfortunately.
  3. Some of the teams in Hawaii would have been Q2 last and I expect that to be true again. The total non con should be higher rated than last year. It will come down to how strong is the big 10 and how we do in conference. I do agree we can’t afford any Q4 losses if we go this route. It would also be nice to have P5 home game but it’s not a huge deal in my book, I want wins.
  4. I’m already excited and will go to every single one of them. The big 10 season will be more than packed with great home games.
  5. Has his five visits set up and we are the first. Iowa, Colo, LSU, and Ohio St are the others. Hope we can seal the deal.
  6. Sam Vecenie has been advocating for him to get an NBA contracts for months now.
  7. I think the whole non con schedule was easier last year and we were just fine.
  8. That is an awesome highlight reel, we are going to miss him.
  9. I’m good with this schedule. Should be able to get a bunch of wins and good NET before big 10 play.
  10. I’d agree, we played 9 last year down the stretch a bit. He was giving Rice 4-5 minutes a game in the first half (so maybe we call it 8.5 man rotation) I really hope Jano is to good to keep on the bench too.
  11. You do not have to complete 2 years at JUCO if you were a full qualifier (I believe Bolis fits that category). I would assume Bashir was not and has to stay 2 years but I am not certain.
  12. I believe he currently has a couple low D1 offers so I am guessing we would have to give him a scholarship but no specific knowledge.
  13. He absolutely is a D1 player IMO. The only question for me is what level? If we have room and we. Normally do I would absolutely take a flyer on him. He can shoot the lights out.
  14. I think Griffiths starting over Essegian is likely if they go smaller lineup. That would still be a lot of size overall. Should be fun. Griffiths / Berke have a ton of potential so hopefully at least one of the fulfills it next year
  15. It does not appear any of them were run off either. Most of the fan bases were sad to see them leave (except maybe Ulis). I think it is a great sign for next year.
  16. That is the one, thx. Assuming it is Berke I hope.
  17. Yes and Adam Howard put out a Tweet that looks like good news to me.
  18. For our program I think our NIL is pretty good. We are not going to be in the same league as the blue bloods or some of these other schools with huge NIL donors. We do seem to be in that second tier and I’m good with that. We can’t get into bidding wars for the big names but seem to be spending pretty well to keep the guys we have and bring in some very good talent. Griffiths, Essegian, Worster, Morgan (hopefully Berke) are all guys who had multiple P5 offers and we got them in part because of our NIL. If we keep winning more will come but I’m not disappointed in what we have at all.
  19. I like Almonor but wonder if we reached out to Achor Achor? Haven’t heard much about him and he looks pretty good.
  20. Max Murrell going to Santa Barbara Luke Jungers is going to Iona (have not heard great reviews on the Omaha staff so far)
  21. I guess we see it differently. To me we have more depth and potential than last year and last years team was pretty good. Morgan might not be Mast but the rest of the additions are or could be upgrades. Having a true PG (or 2) is a big deal to me as well. Doesn’t mean we will be better but gives me hope we can be better. If we do get a good stretch 4, I think we are much improved over last year.
  22. Agree, I could definitely see Meah starting in some line up as well especially if you have a smaller 4 like Gary. You could have a Gary, Brice, GG lineup and Gary or Brice could guard the 4 spot as that is the only end positions really matters outside of the post because our offense is flexible.
  23. In Fred’s offense there is not really any difference in the 2-3 spots IMO. Doesn’t really matter except for who you can guard on the other end.
  24. Plus these guys are not starting out with huge contracts over seas, for the most part. I’d bet our NIL package will be more than competitive to what he might get.
  25. Yes, I thought we would have both. Sucks about Mast (really love him) for sure but getting Meah and Morgan is a pretty good back fill. I thought Lawrence would go back to being a 2 guard off the bench getting probably less minutes. We have made a huge upgrade at point guard with two proven P5 starters, that is big. Then we bring in 3 high level shooters in Griffiths, Essegian, and Jano so even though you can’t replace KT’s offense we did great and the defense and rebounding at that spot is a large upgrade. If we get a nice stretch 4 man I think we have upgraded our roster pretty nicely from a really good team last year. It may not be splashy but we would be deep and very well rounded with lots of flexibility. Now we just need them to mesh as a team and build on the last 2 years. I am excited but also a glass half full guy when it comes to Husker hoops.
