I think his defense the last 3-4 games has been really good (for him), definitely stepped it up in that area.

I call them the casual NU hoop fan. They also don’t watch a lot of college basketball period so they have unrealistic expectations. I agree they are very annoying.

Kyle intrigues me, plays hard and very athletic. Good replacement for Jo but no outside shot at all. Don’t think Saint is a P5 guy but could be wrong. He’s improved a lot but not sure it’s enough for the big 10

Apparently you don’t. They mentioned coaches who coached multiple sports. I thought it was relevant and interesting when I first heard it. I’ll try to run my posts by you going forward to see if I should post or not.

Because he has told that story a few times including in a speech he gave to the football team last fall. It was included in the behind the scenes videos they put out. Still not sure how playing pick up with him comes into play but you do you.

John Cook was a damn good high school football coach.

We can definitely agree to disagree. I saw his game up close all summer long. Very confident in my thoughts but I’ve been wrong more than a few times in my life. It would be his second transfer as he got no time at Chicago so unless he grads early he needs a waiver

He would need a waiver and I doubt UNL or the blue team would recruit him. Good kid, glad he is doing well but do not think he is a P5 guy.

Josiah is shooting about the same from 3 as Mast 35+%. I’m still not high on Gary taking them unless he is wide open with his feet set. He is so much better attacking

Against PSU I hope JL starts. They pressure the hell out of the ball. Think we may need RM to handle the ball a lot too. If we can protect the ball I like our chances but definitely worried about 20 turnovers.

He is exactly what we need, can get to the hoop and shockingly knocking in 3s at 40% (watched him a lot this summer and I would have guessed more like 30%). He also D’s up, to bad he did not want to come home. We would be talking about seeding and not bubble, hopefully we make it and they don’t.

I have watched Hunter a lot going back to middle school and even played pick up with him and have to disagree completely. At Gonzaga they basically tried to make him a 3 and D guy, standing in the corner a lot in offense. He is much better on the move and has the ability to get in the lane and make plays. Good handles and nice pull up jumper and has added the 3pt shot this year. On defense, there is zero doubt with his length and athleticism he would be a menace in our system once he picked it up. He is a coachable kid for sure.

Just get to 21 wins and I will feel very comfortable
