Wellllllllll… we reached bare minimum. I feel…. Nothing. Not mad, but not overly excited either.

St. Mary's drops their first to Arizona State.
-
I thought I saw they won by 5?

Purdue wins it!

Feast week has been up and down for us as a conference. However, we did have some big wins as a conference. - Penn State had a chance to win their Feast week tournament, but came up short against Clemson. They did beat Fordham in the tournament. - MSU lost to Memphis in Maui. They did beat UNC and Memphis, however. - Rutgers lost to Bama in Vegas. They did beat Notre Dame. They will play A&M in the 5th place game. - Indiana lost to Louisville and Zaga before semi-redeeming themselves vs Providence in the last place game. - Michigan did win their tournament beating Va Tech and Xavier. - Oregon has been a huge high point for the conference beating Bama and San Diego St. They'll play Bama for 1.5 MILLION to split between the players. - Illinois picked up a big win over Arkansas in a single game showcase. - Purdue is looking to beat Ole Miss after beating NC State. - Minny lost both to Wichita State and Wake Forest. - Northwestern is trying to avoid going 0-2 against UNLV and Butler - We all saw what St. Mary's did to USC. - Washington won their tournament beating a 3-3 Colorado St and a 3-5 Santa Clara.... - Ohio St had a chance for a big home win over Pitt, but lost on a last second 3 pointer.

Win tomorrow-- share the title. Outright win the bigger one.

It’s like they lose all sense of their recruiting smarts. They recruit the guys who are highly touted rather than try and fill to their system in the portal. At least that’s how it’s seems sometimes.
-
I mean— if he’s on the team, they probably cut this loss down to a 71-42 type of loss. His 6 PPG would have been vital to getting this thing under 30.
-
71-36 St. Mary's. Final.
-
My goodness. St. Mary's pouring it on.

The B1G doesn’t have many bad losses at all. But we don’t have a TON of great wins either. As a conference, we’re just 7-6 against AP Top 25 teams. Hence the KP rankings being what they are. Really interested in the NET rankings when they first come out. Most every home game probably risks being a Q2-Q3 loss while most road games should present Q1-Q2 win opportunities. Our true road record as a conference is 2-5 (thanks to us and Oregon) while our conference home record is a combined 82-3 right now. Seems like a good year to probably win most all of your home games (8-9) and steal 2-3 away games.
-
B1G has definitely had an up and down Non-Con so far. Only 2 undefeateds but Alison only 2 teams (MSU and Rutgers) with 2 losses. Could hurt opportunities for Q1 home wins, but the majority of road games should be Q1-Q2.

South Dakota (6-2) vs. Nebraska (5-1) Game Thread

And UNF isn’t a slouch either. Totally different situation playing the lineup we did and trying to hold a 15-20 point lead than BUILD a 15-20 point lead with the group that held it. -
Rocks with a 3rd straight game of beating.

Not too worried about that 2nd half. At one point we had a lineup of Woster, Sam, Conner, Cale, and Meah. Now getting Berk and Gary back….. that’s a worry. -

Captain Obvious here… we can’t afford to be without Gary AND Berk for a long period of time and against better opponents. -

Essegian looks a lot more comfortable out there. That pass to Sam was probably my favorite play of the Hal. -
Those rocks are taking a beating it looks like. Guess who had a genie wish!

Gavin Griffiths is another little surprise at his season and the CU game +/- and I think shows that you can't strictly go off of +/-. I still have hopes for him though that he'll find another level of gear and hustle.

To me, Creighton and St. Mary's are both mid-seed NCAA teams with the chance to win a game or two in March. We'll know a lot more about both after this week. St. Mary's get's USC (5-1) and then either New Mexico or Arizona State (both of who are 5-1). Creighton gets San Diego St (2-1 lost by 13 to Zags), Texas A&M (4-1 lost to UCF game one of season) and then either Rutgers, Alabama, Houston, or Notre Dame. So stiff tests for them this week that should tell us a lot about the team we beat and almost beat.

Me to KenPom after he passed me last week...
-
St. Mary's will play USC (5-1) and then if they win that one, a 6-1 New Mexico or Arizona State. If they come out of this week undefeated, they'll go to Utah in early December. Win that one too and they don't play the Zags until February 1.
-
St. Mary's gets the nod above us due to them beating us and he had to put us in if he wanted to keep Creighton in there too.

I mean-- you might be onto something here. Other schools are doing it for those that have been left out of a major conference. And... as you said... Buckey the Badger doesn't play on the diamond.
