  1. I’ve never understood the “brotherly love” between Husker fans and CU fans who say “I cheer for the other team outside of the once a year meeting” blah blah blah. CU fans can kick rocks and I wish they’d lose every single game they play. It’s a rivalry. We don’t have to wish them well outside of our game.
  2. Losing Potts would be an absolute killer.
  3. UTRGV is going to have a chance at the win here.
  4. This definitely can counteract our lower shooting percentage from deep. I mentioned it after one of the first two games and it has held true thus far. There hasn't been too many times this year where we have abandoned our bread and butter of getting to the rim and possibly the line. Past teams who have look disjointed on offense seemed to sputter at the end of the shot clock and put up a forced jumper or bad three. This team at least tries to get to the rim if the clock is running down.
  5. I missed this yesterday. I should have reworded my post. Q1 games (with a home crowd like environment) are few and far between. Opportunities like yesterday as few and far between. We also know how our road games last year went. You're right-- we have a lot of opportunity left for Q1 wins, but many of them are away from home and in much less friendlier environments.
  6. Never say never but... Creighton 79 Nebraska 65 3 players
  7. Guess KenPom took my week last week personally...
  8. At the end of the day-- I think our best option for a slimmed rotation is pretty obvious. Starters: Williams, Berke, Worster, Gary, Morgan (or another guard) Subs: Griffiths, Essegian, Hoiberg (went with Hoi over Ulis as I think Sam is more of a disruption defensively, does the little things right, and dirty work) Spot Minutes: Meah (if bigs are in foul trouble, breathers at the end of the half, or teams with big posts), Ulis (if guards are in foul trouble, injuries, etc)
  9. Q1: 0-1 (these opportunities are few and far between)
  10. Not a bad loss— but it isn’t great when you have relatively no opportunity for quality wins before B1G season.
  11. Gotta beat Creighton on Friday or it’ll be a dreaded B1G season where we can’t afford to lose many.
  12. Fouls will be our saving grace this half
  13. St Mary’s LOOKS like they know what they want to do. We LOOK disjointed a lot of the time.
  14. Got a stop finally and we get an Andrew Morgan three out of the next possession. Not ideal.
  15. we’re going to have to get some stops….
  16. These guys have rattled off three in a row since playing us and Creighton. Could be a sneaky good mid-major. Play Wisconsin next.
  17. Crowd will hopefully factor in. In many of the “too early” brackets I’ve send, St Mary’s is hovering around right side of bubble status.
  18. Once Paul got a few solid jabs in and Mike had to move, both really pulled back to let the fight go the distance. I believe Paul could have ended that thing early if he wanted to.
  19. I love watching buffering circles. There’s just something about those bars going round and round that make me want to pay for a streaming service.
  20. Are we sure the B1G is going to be down this year? My goodness what a night for the conference so far.
  21. Does age factor in for Tyson at all? All in for Tyson in his prime, but a much more compelling argument can be made for Paul with the age factor.
