Not watching— did OSU forget they had a game. They’ve looked rough in games against teams with a pulse.
-
Blew a 14 point halftime lead and a "largest lead" of 23 points.
-
Oh St Mary’s. What are you doing!?!?
-
If Conner keeps shooting the way he has been, he's going to start drawing a lot of D (like Keisei did). If he gets to that point and performs, it definitely will be a conversation. Now, the question is whether Conner will start drawing the best defender and will teams start keying him?

It'll be more about HOW we lose IF we lose. If it's close and we lose by a bucket or two, not as much as if we lose by 10-15 points.

Keeping Up with Old Friends (The Transferred Thread)

Local connection. Sucks. -
First team out.

Technically-- If I guess the same as KenPom from here on out... I'll beat KenPom. Right? Money!

This guy knows ball!

This is a $&^# show. The NCAA has totally lost control of this thing. Personally feel that... 1. If athletes want to be paid like adults, they should have to have a contract like an adult. 2. The terms of that contract should include a specified year that the athlete can transfer (after 1st, 2nd, 3rd year). 3. Athletes can only transfer after the specified year of their contract AND can only transfer one time without losing a year of eligibility. 4. Athletes who break the contract and transfer early will lose a year of eligibility & have to sit a year. This isn't even free agency. Even in the pros you can't free agent every year. This is ridiculous.

Same— but starting that high, should they run the table (or close to it) with some big blowouts, could keep them up there a little bit. Also was trying to point out that they really can’t afford any more losses to stay where they are. Every loss now is a “bad” or “badish” loss.
-
Could be a good and bad thing for them, but they are done with their power conference teams now too. Their December starts conference play with Stephen F Austin and Lamar, they play N New Mexico and Southern Utah and then wrap the month with Biblical Studies and Dallas Christian. Any loss will definitely drop them, but I don’t see a ton of losses left out there.

HHCC Game #08 - at Michigan State (Dec. 07, 11:00 AM CST)

Nebraska 76 Michigan State 72 11 conference wins -
The more I’ve watched this team, the more I see quite a bit of stuff I like. We’re really gelling as a team and pretty early. We’ve had players buy into roles, but also step up when needed as well. Honestly, we seem like that team who makes your offense look like crap. I have a feeling we’re going to have a number of message boards this year with posts like “we’ll we just didn’t shoot it well” or “well we just had too many errant passes.” The thing about it is that a lot of that is due to our D. We’re pretty suffocating this year. That was no slouch non-con opponent we should beat by 20+. A few notes on individuals. - Conner is thriving and gaining more confidence daily. His stroke is pretty pure too. He’ll have off games for sure (KT did too) but he’ll still get his 8-10 in those games like KT. - Gavin gave us better minutes today. His shot will come, but they were good shots to take. He had much better hustle today. One play where he either missed a shot or turned it over and he hustled to get a steal from behind. - Cale is such a valuable player to have in the role he’s in because he’s going to hustle and perform while giving it 110%. That’s not an easy role to fill usually. - Meah has started to find where he’s going to fit in our O. He didn’t have a great game today by any means but looks more comfortable. - Big test in these next two. Our Creighton win looks to have put a lot of wind in our sails (much like I believe our MSU win did last year).

Did 7th place there earn any NIL money like 1st? Serious question.

North Florida (5-2) vs. Nebraska (5-1) Game Thread

Gavin— to me— screams one of those guys from our past who seems to completely grow as he matures in our system. The nice thing is that usually we would need those guys to be “the man” NOW. This year, we can let him grow into his role and not have to force him to do too much. I hope he sticks around. -
Hoping the team with Jay in it loses

Connor looks more comfortable every game. Legit has totally accepted his role. -
I know some may disagree, but the use of pepper spray here was, I believe, justified. The situation was completely out of control, a few people including law enforcement were on the ground getting trampled, and the teams needed to be separated. But hey, I’m glad captains probably shook hands at the coin toss.

Teams that struggle against us are usually the ones who try and do too much passing. Creighton had some shots they passed up on and then got out of sorts. If a team shoots confidently against us the first one or two good looks they get, they usually fare better.
-
Wellllllllll… we reached bare minimum. I feel…. Nothing. Not mad, but not overly excited either.

St. Mary's drops their first to Arizona State.

I thought I saw they won by 5?

Purdue wins it!

Feast week has been up and down for us as a conference. However, we did have some big wins as a conference. - Penn State had a chance to win their Feast week tournament, but came up short against Clemson. They did beat Fordham in the tournament. - MSU lost to Memphis in Maui. They did beat UNC and Memphis, however. - Rutgers lost to Bama in Vegas. They did beat Notre Dame. They will play A&M in the 5th place game. - Indiana lost to Louisville and Zaga before semi-redeeming themselves vs Providence in the last place game. - Michigan did win their tournament beating Va Tech and Xavier. - Oregon has been a huge high point for the conference beating Bama and San Diego St. They'll play Bama for 1.5 MILLION to split between the players. - Illinois picked up a big win over Arkansas in a single game showcase. - Purdue is looking to beat Ole Miss after beating NC State. - Minny lost both to Wichita State and Wake Forest. - Northwestern is trying to avoid going 0-2 against UNLV and Butler - We all saw what St. Mary's did to USC. - Washington won their tournament beating a 3-3 Colorado St and a 3-5 Santa Clara.... - Ohio St had a chance for a big home win over Pitt, but lost on a last second 3 pointer.
