Beat Minny twice, go 5-1 in Q2 home games, and steal 1-2 Q1 games and we might sneak in. You make a good point, but my biggest thoughts are this... yes, it does matter what year it is. 1. What are we really "tearing down"? We haven't even really built anything. 2. How many "year 1's" do we give Fred? At some point, a decision is going to have to be made on W's and L's. We've had a decent season so far, but that needs to continue moving forward. 3. The core of what we do have going well for us this year is gone next year. So we're back to "year 1" again with unknowns. It just seems like an endless cycle at this point.

Why can't we have nice things in any of the sports I cheer for. What a joke this is all turning out to be. Surprised we made it to the R16 with all of the crap that was going on.

BC and Creighton both won tonight which should continue to help us. St Johns is in a mini slump.

We’ve said it many times but I’ll say it again. This team is probably what a 1st or 2nd year team should look like. This is a team and system that you could really get behind and think “we might have something here moving forward”. But this isn’t year 1… or 2… or even 3. That makes it all the more frustrating and all the more disappointing to be “hopeful to get to 14-16 wins”.

We might just be positively inconsistent enough to win 12-14 games, but they won’t be easy. I’m not seeing a post season with how inconsistent we are though.

Rutgers looks good again this year. Seems like yesterday that they were the “sure win” in the Big 10.

Iowa lost to PSU today. Something tells me they might be playing Wednesday of the B1G tourney.

My New Years Resolution in 2022 was not to let Nebrasketball break my heart. Not to be the eternal optimist I usually am. To be more “realistic”. I did that. BUT It’s 2023 now boys and if we win Tuesday, I’m hopping on the “this team may do something” bandwagon. Going to be a fun first few days of 2023! Happy New Year.

As long as CMU didn't run up the score or whatever happened. I would hate for CMU to do what Michigan has done to others and upset Howard. For all of the awesome coaches and minds we have in the B1G... we sure do have our fair share of unlikeable coaches.
