I was ok with the three. The drive and... whatever the heck followed was... not what we're looking for.

Personally, I believe they called a foul there on Dawson because "we can't call three charges in a row" which is just as crappy as your scenario.

We might have had a chance in this one if we didn't play awful the first 6-10 minutes. We've hung fairly well after that.

And I’m not saying Creighton is a bad team. They have some good wins. IU looks to be on another level than CU though. TJD would take Caulk to school.

Indiana is what I expected Creighton to look like. After seeing how quick IU is, how they move the ball… Creighton might not be as good as we all thought.

If we win tonight-- that would make Saturday's game THE most intriguing matchup of the Hoiberg era. You'd be looking at a chance to get to 8-3 and give yourself an opportunity to get to that Iowa game with 10 wins. HOW HUGE would that be? Now that's a lot of hypotheticals and tonight first of course. But a win tonight is more than a bonus for me. A win tonight and I'm really starting to believe and maybe skipping my reffing assignment to be in Lincoln on Saturday. HA!

I can already see/hear it... 17:35 left in the first half... Announcer: "Annnnd Race Thompson hits ANOTHER ONE! He had 2 threes coming into tonight and he's got three already this game. He's up to 9 points."

I said in another thread, that one of the players looked almost disinterested in playing hard. However, watching the highlights, that was kind of the case for a lot of the game. It's almost as if they were like "we'll get over the hump here in a few" and it never happened. They didn't even show much interest in fouling at the end of the game to try and extend it. Nebraska is awful at shooting FT's and though they were having an off night from deep... the law of averages could have come into play.

I was giddy with someone I was talking to the other day about the CU game, and they reminded me that the last time we beat Creighton, we ended up firing our coach at years end. While I hated the gut punch, it did bring me back down to earth just a little bit. There’s a long road ahead and a lot can still go south. With that being said— man am I starting to like this team!

The hair thing was 100% an accident. Girls hand never even closed. Now how it was perceived is another thing. However, I haven’t seen anything in the videos I’ve seen to say there was a purposeful hair pull.

After Maine’s awesome 4-1 start… they’ve proceeded to lose to Brown, Fordham, and Marist which also probably doesn’t help.

The Jays certainly did their part in terms of decision making, mistakes, etc. That TO wasn't completely due to our stifling D. They were making poor decisions all night.

Bad thing is we really only have one more “get this guy reps” game unless we find ourselves down 20+ sometime.

Speaking of reliable Big Men-- am I crazy to think that we'll be in good hands with a BK, Oleg 1-2 punch the next few years as well? Have been pleasantly surprised with Blaise. Not that he's lighting the world on fire... but for the little things. Coachable, plays within himself, does the little things right, smart BBall IQ, etc.

Some big moments for me personally. 1. When we got down in the first half by 1 or 4-- we never let CU have any separation. We always seemed to have a bucket and that was key in keeping us in it. 2. Start of the 2nd half. First possession, DW misses a bunny but gets his own board. Gives it to CJ who misses a 3, but again DW gets the board. DW then takes it right at CU for a bucket. 3. Up 31-23 early in the second with all of the MO. Bando misses a shot, Sam misses both FT's and then we have a turnover and just like that it's 31-30. Sam proceeds to miss a shot and CU has a chance for the lead. But our D shows up again, gets an easy steal for a CJ dunk. 4. Wilhelm's 3 when we were only up 3 at the time. Gave us a 6 point lead, but we gave up an O board and three on the next possession. So instead of being tied, we came out of that sequence up 3.

I may have missed this, but is there a reason some teams like Michigan and Northwestern only have 1 conference December game and others like us have 2?

Now if norm manages to pull off one of his “same record” things again with this one, I’m gunna need the lotto numbers.
