  2. If she keeps up the great work, you just might be watching her in the WNBA one day.Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk
  3. I can't read Griffin without hearing Putney's voice in my head saying "KELSEY GRIFFIN" Putney? You mean Matt Coatney?Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk
  4. Has some similarities to Draymond Green.Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk
  5. What do you mean "N"?When we say that on recruiting threads, it has a particular meaning. You're not supposed to say that unless you have solid info from a reliable source. So, when you said "N" what were you intending by that? Sorry, I didn't mean it as a message. My finger hit an N on the keyboard and when I tried to erase it, I sent it by mistake.Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk

  7. Huskers would be crazy not to! Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk
  8. Same here! Some of those mid-1960s teams were really good and would have made the Big Dance if the field had been larger. Stu was my favorite Husker. Still love to see him on TV (now doing color commentary for Lakers broadcasts). Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk
  9. Can you tell us what type of surgery she'll need in the off season?Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk
  10. Connie's teams have nearly always been tough minded in the past. She's refused to put players in games until they proved they could defend. I realize we don't have many good defenders now, but she needs to keep the standards high. As for recruiting, we need to get more pure shooters.Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk
  11. I like MIles and hate when almost anyone that does anything has people saying, "Fire them," but I haven't like the offense run here with or without Smith. If anything I think the offense is better now than it was in 2013-14, at least in terms of its execution. There were very few assists that year. This year people are getting a lot more open shots, just not hitting them enough, and of course there is still the ever constant problem of scoring droughts, which frankly goes back to the Sadler days at least.Agree, would like to see more to our offense than what it is. I'd like to see us force the action more inside than we do now. Agree. Also, we need to recruit more pure shooters. Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk
  12. Maybe attitude or performance (lack thereof) in practice?
  13. Unfortunately, there are some other factors involved for the really good ones, including a big stage to be featured on (e.g. the Big Dance) and proven ability to get guys to the next level.
  14. I can understand how small ball might benefit us on the offensive end, but on defense it's disaster. If you don't have guys who can get it done on both ends, IMHO there's no good reason to stick with it.
  15. Love your attitude! God is on your side, even though it may not seem that way. Prayers up for your whole family during the Christmas season and beyond!Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
  16. Agree. Is there an NBA player he reminds you of?Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
  17. I agree. I'll add, though, who's worth hating? ................................... No one, really. Christian Laettner was worth hating.K-State is worth hating (really, only because of where I live). Notre Dame is worth hating. Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees...both entirely hate-worthy. Iowa might be getting there. But not Creighton. You forgot Karl Hess. And MissouriDon't forget Texas.Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
  18. Until we have a scorer down low I am guessing half court will suffer.A good pick & roll finisher would be nice. Think any of our bigs could fill that role in time?Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
  19. Methinks the time he spent with the Hawks did him good. Worked on his all-around game, learned how to better play off the ball/within the flow of an offense, and improved his efficiency/shot selection. Also, he's taken Eric Strickland's advice and actually plays D, something you typically don't see a lot of in D-League games. We're about a month away from the time that NBA teams can start giving out 10-day contracts.Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
  20. 1. When the dust settles, which conference will have won the Big Ten/ACC Challenge? Andy Katz: The ACC will win it. I do like a few of the road Big Ten teams like Michigan and Northwestern as well as Michigan State at home. But overall the ACC is deeper and stronger. The toughest game to call is Pitt-Purdue. The overall strength and the home/road split favors the ACC. The ACC also has more potential Final Four and national title contenders. The Big Ten probably only has one -- Michigan State. Jeff Goodman: The ACC is going take this one -- and it may not even be close. It's the better league this season, especially with Ohio State and Wisconsin taking significant dips. The ACC is the best overall league in America this season from top to bottom. John Gasaway: I like the ACC's chances to win this thing outright (no tie) for the first time since December of 2008. The league's been more or less as good as advertised, while the Big Ten's overall strength has been hurt significantly by the early-season struggles of 2015 NCAA tournament teams like Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio State. I think Purdue is a legitimate final 4 team. They defend really well, have two solid rim protectors, can shoot the ball, and make free throws. We could well have 2 B1G teams in the Final Four.Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
  21. Tai has 17 tonight. Morrow playing like a freshmen. Hammond has 7 tonight. Parker I don't think should be out there.Tai can't shoot 3's - and he's giving up wide open looks that absolutely kill your flow and spacing. I can't find the stats, but he hit his first 2 3's tonight, plus got fouled shooting a 3.My points more to the fact that we were desperate for outside shooting towards the end, and he's giving up wide open looks off of great drive and kicks - and we didn't score when we needed to. Did he have a great game? Absolutely. But we've gotta get shooters out there. Just my opinion of course. I agree. Last year"s squad was worse but this is a regular complaint of mine. We get guys open looks where they can catch and shoot in rhythm and they just pass the ball. We need shooting guards who will shoot when they get open looks.White and McVeigh are capable enough in that department. We need one more guy who can do it consistently.Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
  22. Couldn't watch the game. Ellis and Hammond are the same height and weight. Does Ellis have quite a bit more muscle so he could push Jake around?Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
  23. Correction re: radio broadcasts: KFAB is no longer part of the Husker Sports Network as of July 1. The station has been replaced by KXSP (Omaha's ESPN affiliate).Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
  24. I've been pumping this for a few years. Add Iowa State as well... It would be a great event, you could even invite a few local/regional teams like UMKC and UNO. It would draw A LOT of regional attendance, and perhaps some television appeal as well. Creighton too?Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
  25. I'd like to see it, too. We have more depth this season, which helps. But right now, Tim is experimenting constantly with rotations and the freshmen haven't figured out how to defend without fouling. Hopefully when these issues are cleared up, he'll consider using that strategy. Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
