  1. I was talking about Ulis. But, fine.
  2. If the B1G does end up adding the 4 Pac schools, it makes Big Ten baseball respectable. Volleyball would be off the charts.
  3. I haven't seen that. Supposedly, he wagered on at least one Iowa sporting event. Nebrasketball Transfer Ahron Ulis Facing Tampering Charges Amid Sports Gambling Probe (msn.com) Once again, the 24-72 hour rule applies. Wait till the dust settles.
  4. If he took the Huskers, he'll get the book thrown at him. Maybe they can get a change of venue to Lincoln.
  5. Very good point. The time zone thing is manageable with just USC and UCLA. You would have only a few late games. If that is a concern with the BIG, although I poo pooed the idea at first, Clemson and Florida State might be in the mix. That would also open the door for Notre Dame and dare I say @jimmykc alma mater? I think that makes a great 20 team super conference.
  6. I miss the carefree days of the Off Topic threads.
  7. I'm not sure this match was made in heaven. I'm happy to wait for 24-72 hours to decide....
  8. It's wise to wait 24 to 72 hours to see what plays out. I'm old enough to remember Duke lacrosse. And Jussie Smollett...
  9. Well....yes and no. Danny Hutton has surrounded himself with musicians including his son. Cool for those two! He has the rights to the name Three Dog Night. I haven't heard them. I'm guessing they do a pretty good job. Cory Wells passed away a few years ago and Chuck Negron, the last I saw, does solo gigs. I was lucky enough to see them in the early 80's at Peony Park. (I know I've told this before.) They had the original band back together except the bass player. Put on a fabulous show. Absolutely on my top ten list of performances.
  10. Some great boxing moments.... part 1
  11. Whoa! This is an off topic thread! Even if you don't win, pm me your name and address and I'll send you some beef sticks!
  12. Did anyone else watch the Ron Stander Joe Frazier fight back in 1972? I did. For whatever reason it was on 10/11. Joe Frazier was my hero. I listened on shortwave to the thriller in Manilla. To this day, I'm not an Ali fan. Oh well...
  13. No chance I'm spending 85 bucks to watch live. But here's what I will spend for those who click on an off topic thread. Before the fight begins, whoever predicts the round and winner when the fight is stopped, gets 3 12 packs of Lucky Jerky beef sticks. Just in case of a tie, aw screw it. If two people tie, you'll both win. Can't do three, though. Good luck! Bud Crawford is a Nebraska Hero!
  14. NO I WON'T WATCH IT! Two reasons: 1) I'm not spending the money and 2) I'll be asleep when it starts. After this bout, Bud has the chance to be the greatest pound for pound boxer ever. First thing I'll do in the morning is check for results.
  15. Sam the Cooke was pretty good, too!
  16. I'm sure Florida State wants out of the ACC. All about the money. I don't see them in the B1G, but absolutely SEC. If they do leave for the SEC, maybe Notre Dame in the B1G? Who knows about those assholes? Maybe some kid with Fighting Irish crap in his basement does... I just looked at Colorado's men's sports programs. They have 6. Actually 5 that will compete with the rest of the conference. Skiing isn't big in the southern midwest. I so don't miss that conference. I am impressed they have survived. When Texas and OU bolted, I thought they were finished.
  17. Just found this video. Pretty cool.
  18. Mrs. cip makes Runza pie. Does the frozen dough thing in a 9x13 pan. Bottom layer, filling then top layer. Delicious and easy!
  19. I loved your laissez-faire position on the bronny james thread. I can't remember the last OT thread that was divisive...
  20. Sadly, we have another addition to this list. Randy Meisner passed. Randy Meisner, Eagles Co-Founder and Singer of ‘Take It To The Limit,’ Dies at 77 (msn.com)
