  1. There were a couple games this year where Almeida went 100 seconds without a foul.....
  2. Da da dant dant dant, another one bites the dust. Colorado loses. Pot and Doritos sales will be through the roof in Boulder tonight. No wait, that's every night.....
  3. Hey, Nebraska might be the only Big Eight team not to lose in the first round of the tourney this year! That 16 beating a 1 thing is going to happen sometime. Might as well be this year....
  4. Welcome to the world of posting, Lucky. Sorry, the free jerky offer has expired. What are your thoughts on the Big Eight going 0 for one so far in the tourney?
  5. Correct me if I am wrong but Ubel was here and did play in the postseason NIT right? Damn, cwg. At this rate, you could be offering an apology in every thread....
  6. Bill was tall. (And had bad acne as I recall.) You are thinking of Dave McFarlane from Plattsmouth Ahh, those were the days. Nebraska's version of the Twin Towers---Dave MacFarlane and Lance Berwald!
  7. 49'r, I have to disagree with you on this one. I don't see anything that remotely comes close to plagiarism.
  8. Wow! That's kind of a dick thing to say! Sorry, I went with my first reaction. It was a rather negative first post...and my first thought (again, sorry) was that whiteknuckle, or whatever his/her current handle may be, is back. I was not attempting to be a "dick" so again, I apologize. A real man would offer up some salsa with his apology.....
  9. LBJ was definately imposing. A lot of congressmen were strong-armed to vote for his Great Society....
  10. Sorry. My youtube only plays rock and roll from 1955-1984. I thought everyone's was like that....
  11. I think I have a solution. Rumor has it the Lollipop Guild has two spots available for next season. No need to thank me.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEeg1d1tQqQ
  12. HB, I've had a change of heart. Kinda. I'm pretty wishy-washy when it comes to my personal beliefs. I stick my finger up in the air to see which way the political winds blow before I make a decision. So, I'll give you some salsa if that's what the majority of HHC posters want. Maybe you can get Norm to commission one of his polls to find out what the Devaney Dungeon thinks. I'll abide by whatever the majority decides.....
  13. If this doesn't illustrate the curse of the Husker fan..... You picked the wrong damned contest to win. Should've studied up more on the womens side....
  14. Something something Mark David. Instant Karma is gonna get you.....
  15. I remember Alex Chapman, but who is Rex?
  16. Omaha stations aren't part of our local package here. I haven't seen Rob McCartney since his days at 10/11. How come everyone in the world ages, but I never look a day older?
  17. It might be interesting to see what happens but as a former coach I find it hard to get any enjoyment out of someone's failure and pain. If you were a former choach, I could understand your angst.....
  18. I disagree, Dale. It would be premature to make the comparison between the two if you only look at Miles' one year at Nebraska. However, he has turned programs around at all his coaching stops with the philosphy he has today. There are numerous similarities between K State football and Nebraska basketball. I agree with the comparisons. Barfknecht may be arrogant, but he's not a poor writer.
  19. No, I guess I need to pay more attention to his speaking. I like the drinking game idea, though! BTW, nice avatar.
  20. From the article: Like Snyder, Miles has created an internal standard of excellence in how you practice and how you play that won't be compromised. Like Snyder, Miles has refused to put limits on what his program can achieve in any single year, regardless of the roster composition. Like Snyder, Miles has identified in recruiting which players fit his style. Miles' simple mantra is "he better be able to pass it, catch it and shoot it." When told of some of Snyders principles, Miles offered something I could imagine Snyder saying: "What it comes down to is you get what you tolerate."
  21. If Deliverance was a movie about pig farmers, that brings a whole new meaning to the term "animal husbandry"........
  22. The OWH had an exclusive article about it in this morning's paper. I sure as crap wasn't going to post it here.... Especially in the Devaney Dungeon.....But, whatever......
  23. Looks to me like one of those contests where money comes first.....
