  1. Jimmy, do you follow him on twitter?
  2. One could also say Collier did us a favor by taking another job before being fired so we didn't have to pay him. One could also say Benedict Arnold saved the Colonies the cost of building a gallows by moving to London. Happy Independence Day everyone!
  3. Tip o' the cap to Ted. He had to be in his early fifties when Teddy was born. Way to go old man!
  4. Not really. They ended up buying some of our seasoning (which, by the way, is really good). I think the people in Columbia are still butt hurt over the 97 game and NU's invite to the B1G. Those shallow bastards can hold a grudge.......
  5. As well he should. I think I forgot to message you. The steaks I bought there were truly incredible but the salsa stole the show. Some of the best, if not the best salsa I have had. Really really good. I need to get my hands on a few jars of that from this years batch somehow. So amazingly good. Fiance loved it also. You forgot to mention the jerky.
  6. I heard he's flying here for some salsa.
  7. I heard yo mama does squat thrusts on flag poles.
  8. Well, since we're pimping here, if anyone is in Lincoln this Sunday, come see me at Capital Patio, 5500 Old Cheney from 10 am to 2 pm. I'll be giving away samples of burgers, hot dogs, steaks and some of our Patriot Jerky! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIh8nMJNV0M
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yteMugRAc0
  10. Kent McCloughan, Jr.? What the heck am I thinking. By now, it could be Kent McCloughan IV.....
  11. I'll drink to that....
  12. Have you ever tried a whiskey/NyQuil chaser?
  13. We need to come up with a counter offer. I'll start it off with 3 jars of salsa (1 each of mild, medium and hot) and 1 of our .50 caliber ammo cans containing 18 bags of Patriot Jerky. Feel free to add to the kitty.....
  14. If you have a computer with access to the internet, you can click on this link for the address. If you don't have a computer, the address is 905 S. 27th Street.
  15. There will be a guy tomorrow at Ideal Market in Lincoln cooking all beef hot dogs and polish dogs in front of the store from 10 to 2. He also will be selling some beef jerky. The guy loves Nebraska Basketball and will be wearing a Husker cap. If you get there before noon, he might be sober.....
  16. Been gettin' bombarded with cannabis ads, huh?
  17. Yes you do, nustudent. I remember the day Miles was hired. You and I were very excited about the new hire. (We weren't alone, but we didn't have a lot of company, either.) I posted happy, upbeat music videos celebrating the change in head coaches. Others on this board posted somber music videos to reflect their feelings about the new coach. Yep. It's a good time to be a Husker basketball fan. Cip, you must not remember the day Miles was hired as well as you think you do. Because you started your "happy" video thread on March 9. That's actually not the day Miles was hired. Actually, that's the same day Doc Sadler was fired. Kind of a different thing, actually. Not the same. But close. In a dissimilar sort of way. But, don't take my word for it. Here's a link: http://huskerhoopscentral.activeboard.com/t48203626/the-happy-thread/ (Give you credit, though, at least it was a sort of basketball-related post.) I believe nustudent's initial reaction was "meh" http://huskerhoopscentral.activeboard.com/t48409873/miles-on-campus/ To his credit, he warmed pretty quickly...but it wasn't all hearts and rainbows in the Devaney Dungeon at first... Yep, cip remembers very, very well the day Miles was hired. It was a sunny day in November. The Giants had just won the penant and Lance Armstrong was just finishing up his 5th Tour de France victory. Cip specifically remembers he and nustudent were both very excited about the hire. Feeling in a celebratory mood, Cip opened a jar of his favorite salsa (or maybe it was a jar of mushrooms) and began posting happy music videos on the internet. Just because. About then, the white knight started talking backwards and the red queen's off with her head ... Boy, did I ever misremember that period. Thanks for going to the trouble to set the record straight, Norm. I guess I should just stick to smart ass comments. One thing I've learned in life, though, is to not take myself too seriously.
  18. Sacrifice two goats and one virgin.....

  20. I think Standhardinger wanted that nickname. Apparently, he wasn't up to it.....
  21. Sorry, my large hairy friend. Pershing wasn't last, but it was close.......
  22. Depending on your pronounciation of "live", this could mean a couple different things.....
  23. I'm surprised no one on this board has mentioned the October 4th Eagles concert at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. Must not be many Eagles fans here. Actually, I'm not one myself. I can take 'em or leave 'em. I Can't Tell You Why, but their music has just never given me that Peaceful Easy Feeling. Speculation has it ticket prices for the show will be On The Border of 2 to 300 dollars for prime seats. I'm sure there are many In The City of Lincoln who will gladly pay that price to experience One Of These Nights. I guess, in The Long Run, that's money well spent. If you don't have the cash, there's always the credit card. You can Take It To The Limit when you add in the cost of T-shirts, autographed pictures, bongs (oops, only available in Boulder) and a Tequila Sunrise (or 10). Speaking of alcohol sales, when partaking at the new arena, Take It Easy. I don't want anyone making an unplanned stop at the LPD where you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave. The encore(s) should be most enjoyable. There will be plenty of elbow room since half the crowd will be Already Gone to beat the bumper to bumper traffic. I wonder if Tim Miles, the New Kid In Town, will be at the show? For those few who might be offended this isn't a basketball topic, Get Over It.
  24. I'll sprinkle a little on the inside of a whole chicken to give it some added flavor right before I shove that can of beer up it's you know what's it. Don't go overboard, though. A little sage goes a long way. Kinda surprised you didn't go with Simon and Garfunkel on this one, cip! I didn't think of it at the thyme....
