Cool.  Time to start analyzing who's taller by where their shoulders are compared to the red/white border on the wall behind them and how long their necks look.

Anyone remember when we broke down a team photo on the old board to try to figure out how tall Chris Niemann was compared to Brian Diaz?

And speakin' of which ...

It looks like Shavon Shields is as tall as Leslee Smith standing next to him in the team picture.  And Leslee is supposed to be 6'8" and so that means that the only way either of them are 6'8" is if Kye Kurkowski is like 7'1" or 7'2".

It also looks like Nick Fuller's shoulders are a lot higher compared to Terran Petteway's, which obviously means that Fuller is taller has higher shoulders.

And, man, don't Ray Gallegos look tiny.  Look at him compared to Tai Webster.  Ray, didn't your mama ever tell you to sit up straight?  You don't want to look Benny Parker short.

Look like winners to me!!!

...man, Leslee Smith (21) looks to be the same size as Shavon...man.

edit...I just saw that Norman had the same observation a bit earlier.  So, did Smith shrink or did Shavon grow....hmmmm

Guys, have no fear...look at the first picture and all is well with Leslee.   In that second one he is kind of slumping down to one side.  Everybody in that second row looks about like they are supposed to look ( height wise ).

I looked on the Huskers.com roster the other day and wondered if all the players particulars were up to date.

team picture thoughts:

Shavon and Fuller seem to both be very close to 6'7, and both just turned 18 and 19 years old.

Tai looks huge for a point guard. I think he will start from day 1.

Sergej is a legitimate 7'1. We need him to contribute. seems to be a little stronger.

Pitchford could be our player with the most potential right now. nobody on our team has his size and athletecism.

Player i'm most worried about based on the eyeball test is leslee smith. Seems like he might be out of shape and not as tall as i thought he would be. On top of that, he has had many injuries. Hopefully i'm wrong about him. I think dejuan blair measured like 6'5 at the nba combine, so i guess his height may not be that big of a deal.

It appears that benny parker has not had a growth spurt.

The hawk: I'm not sure how we use him this year. I could see him redshirt. I don't see him taking many minutes away from gallegos.
