Some interesting points made in the Journal Star article.

"Senior forward Anya Kalenta is training with the Belarus national team." Will be interesting to see if she develops this year and earning significant playing time. I had high hopes for her last year and was disappointed in her contribution to the team.

"Alicia Ostrander, who plans to join the Huskers after the Nebraska volleyball season, will practice with the basketball team this summer when she doesn’t have a conflict with volleyball." Having the trip to Australia in August should really benefit Alicia and the team in regards to being her being able to practice with the team this summer. Article does not say she is going on the trip but the practice time should help knock off the rust from not having played.

Senior transfer guard Kyndal Clark will not participate in the summer practices. Sure would have been nice if she was healthy enough to practice with the team. We may need her to make significant contributions if Rachel and / or Jessie are not at full strength.

i really don't know much about microfracture surgery, so, looked up some info. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microfracture_surgery

 

results are mixed. the one thing she has going for her is age---appears to have pretty good success rate for her age group. if i remember correctly, takes about 5 months for the procedure to turn to cartilage (certain type). understand why she won't probably won't be ready till later in the year.

Just saw that Alisha Gray, sophomore guard at North Carolina, is transferring.  Some speculate she may be able to play right away due to goings on at UNC.  Think Yori would have any interest (or room) for her?
