49r Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 I don't know whether to make the "we could corner the market on dudes named Tai in college basketball" or a "Wynyrd Skynyrd" joke here. atskooc, jimmykc and AuroranHusker 3 Quote
Cell Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 Was in the news in NZ today that he is being recruited by Kentucky, Wake Forrest, Texas and Utah aswell as many others. Hawaii, St Marys and Pitt have all watched him in Auckland. Nebraska may be in on him but were not among the named teams Is a big strong kid that is actually pretty skilful. Not the most athletic player but can set great screens, pass out of the post and finish around the rim. I think he has a good chance to be the real deal and is following a similar path to Webster in his lead up to college. He might be the first player from NZ to ever get the attention of big time schools like Kentucky. Mostly even the top NZ players go to mid-major or the lower big conference schools. lanigan123 Posted September 29, 2014 Author Report Posted September 29, 2014 Has Nebraska shown an interest? Quote
lanigan123 Posted September 29, 2014 Author Report Posted September 29, 2014 Hmmm with all Harriman's connection to the area I wonder if there is a reason we weren't mentioned. Quote
a0t0w0 Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Will name first born Tai, or Taiana, if either Tai plays a part in a sweet 16. doc1394 1 Quote
swoof Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Committed to Kentucky today. ESPN story originally had a picture of Tai Webster instead of Wynyard. https://twitter.com/YungSillyDuffer/status/559504264012120064/photo/1 Quote
