Anybody here how summer workouts are going or if they have even started yet?  Am curious how the returners are developing; and how the two new kids who are on campus are doing so far?

My daughter saw Rachel Theriot yesterday when she was touring campus.  She said Rachel seemed really surprised that someone knew who she was.

Emily Wood faces tough situation at All Star game

 

I'm thinking Husker fans are really going to like little Miss - Emily Wood!

 

Emily Wood didn’t really know what to feel. She had grown up playing ball with Shaelyn Martin, both Salina Central products.

 

 

But there the two were for the 31^st annual KBCA All-Star game. Wood dressed in white, Martin dressed in blue.

 

Martin has been in Manhattan working out with the Kansas State women's basketball team. Wood has spent the past few weeks in Lincoln, Neb. playing and attending class at the University of Nebraska and has been a roommate of Wamego’s Kaylee Page.

 

“It was weird. We’ve been practicing together,” Page said. “We’re roommates so we live together, we eat together, we go to workouts together. We’re just always together. It was weird seeing her in another color jersey.”

 

Yep, Wood had to face two great friends that encompassed a roommate, a former teammate, a current teammate and a future teammate.
