I like seeing Purdue as the 12 seed just in case we have to play them in the tournament. In my opinion Purdue would be an easier win than Northwestern. Northwestern just seems to play us tougher for some reason.

I don't agree at all.  Purdue is far more talented.  They will be very interested playing in own back yard.  And they will have decent fan turnout.  Would much rather face NW.  We would be favored by 3 or 4 more against NW.

Purdue is down 2 players from the last time we played them. It boils down to Hammons. If he is playing his best they're much tougher, but he is extremely inconsistent.

Yeah he is very inconsistent.  It would be problematic if he came to play that day.  NW losing Cobb was really tough for them too.  Maybe even more so.  Personal preference, but I tend to go with the Vegas numbers trumping all else.

I suspect Purdue would like to knock NU off in the tourney, as NU did to them last season.  How 'bout NU just go ahead & beat Bucky Badger & take that Thursday off entirely!!!
