A lot of downers in this post game chat considering we just handled a top 20 team and are firmly on the bubble in February.

We don't have any bad losses this season.  Some alarming blowouts, sure, but no devastating resumé losses.  We also have some very good wins.  Illinois will stay Top 25.  Creighton will play its way back in to the Top 25 because their conference sucks.

Beat Oregon and we're talking seeds again, IMO.

I don't agree with we don't have any bad losses.  The USC and Rutgers game are both Q3 home losses those are eye sores on our resume to the committee.  With our brand we have very little room for those slip ups

Technically, they are Q2 losses at the moment. The thing with quads is it fluctuates through the year. It’s not when you lose to them, it’s where they finish.

As it should be.

Forgive me for using a football comparison, but it's incredibly annoying when teams beat 2023 TCU or 2024 FSU and consider that a Top 20 and Top 10 win. Rankings are very flawed in the early parts of the season, let alone throughout the season.

Overall our crowd kind of started out slowly but got into the game at the end - especially in overtime.  Much better than the last couple home games.

The crowd gave me husker football vibes at one point.  I don't remember if it was with 4 min left or 1 min left.  I know we were up 4 and Illinois then hit a three.  Seemed way too quiet for where the game was.  They sure were loud though in that last minute of OT when the Illinois player flew out of bounds.  What happened there anyway?

Absolutely nothing and they still reviewed it. Literally, I don’t even think he was bumped.

I thought in that moment,  they were reviewing the clock.

I was just wondering how he made it so far behind the basket.

I thought they were reviewing the clock of when the timeout was taken.  But I guess they could have been like me and wondering how a player got 30 feet behind the basket.
