Nails Posted October 16 Report Posted October 16 The national media is more bullish on the Huskers than the Big 10 media and coaches. Indiana was picked ahead of us by both the coaches and media in the preseason Big 10 poll, yet we are ranked ahead of them in the AP poll. Quote
redsteve Posted October 16 Report Posted October 16 (edited) 23 is a decent place to start for us. We might have a lot of the necessary pieces. Hopefully the squad can jell fairly quickly. The early preseason games will help the process probably, getting some newbies some time on the floor too. We should be good around the basket with Markowski, Potter and maybe 2 more good prospects. Several good guards of course. The B1G has several teams listed, but not very high as a whole. No Iowa ? They've really got lots of work to do. New coach, lost not just Clark, but some other very good experienced players too. Getting closer to game time. Won't be long now. Edited October 16 by redsteve Quote
Cazzie22 Posted October 16 Report Posted October 16 USC at 3 and UCLA at 5 make the B1G an elite conference. whoopdeedoo and Bugeaters1 1 1 Quote
All About the Corn Posted October 16 Report Posted October 16 I like our start here at 23. Think this is the view of more than a few that what Amy is building here is a slow but steady rise of this program. Not surprised by any B1G numbers. Iowa is just outside the top 25 at this point. Iowa and Indiana both will need to find answers to the loss of key players. Quote

They have an active 6-7 big that pretty much had her way on the boards. Last night UCLA was the better team, by quite a bit. They were ahead by 20 a lot of the time. Tom Jones Posted yesterday at 04:36 PM Report Posted yesterday at 04:36 PM Whoop said "way early, but, have watched two iowa games. they look pretty darn good" Yeah. Sadly, I say, "yeah". I thought that losing to Iowa might be over for a while. They lost so much from last year - not just CC but all the Ms - and the Huskers, I thought, might have best team ever. Then Iowa added one of the very best players available from the portal and the Huskers lost their best player. I have watched two Iowa games and they look great. Playing them would be a toss up WITH Potts - without her I fear we are in for more losses to Iowa. Oh, how I hope to be wrong. Cazzie22 1 Quote
Cazzie22 Posted yesterday at 06:51 PM Report Posted yesterday at 06:51 PM Iowa has an established program. Jensen is just carrying on. Quote
All About the Corn Posted yesterday at 07:24 PM Report Posted yesterday at 07:24 PM I have watched some Iowa games, wanted to see how McCabe will do now that see has a chance for more court time. Has been pretty up and down for her to this point. I expect Iowa to be a tough game(s). Getting Olsen makes the loss of Clark a little easier for them. Affolter still not up to speed coming back from minor injury/surgery. Not sure how well Feurbach will be this year. She also has had moments but inconsistent to this point. USC and UCLA will be tough on everyone. Cazzie22 1 Quote
