The rule book already defines this conduct as anyone who "disrespectfully contacts an official or makes a threat of physical intimidation or harm to include pushing, shoving, spitting, or attempting to make physical contact with an official."

is one game enough?  I don't think so.   I think there should be a THREE game suspension for a second offense

but the rule pertains to ... "anyone who disrespectfully contacts an official or makes a threat of physical intimidation or harm to include pushing, shoving, spitting, or attempting to make physical contact with an official."  Yes, I have shaken my head a few times when noticing that an official put hands on a player.  But I have never seen it as an act of threat or intimidation or disrespect.

Pretty sure it's hard to break up fights without hands on.  No, I've watched literally thousands of games and I cannot say I've seen a single instance where the officials have put hands on in any kind of intimidating manor.  I have, however seen hundreds of examples where they should have stepped in earlier.  I've also seen hundreds of examples where the reverse is true, or when players have gotten in their faces and unloaded the full 4 letter word dictionary and haven't so much as drawn a T.  No it's time the NCAA steps in and gives the officiating some fire power to manage games
