Came here to post this, looks like @Bugeaters1 had it covered. . . what a weird situation in Las Cruces & an "unrelated shooting" in ABQ.

New Mexico St. had just played in Phoenix against Yvan Drago's GCU squad. I had posted in the former Husker thread a photo of Carl Hayes, Henry T. Buchanan, and Derrick Vick, which was taken at that NMSU-GCU ballgame.

Evidently the "ABQ" situation involved a serious shooting/death. Wonder what this new situation is???

Bizarre story of the year. I'm sure the full tale will eventually become known but at least Teddy Allen was not involved. Fun fact of the day: Old Jimmy attended the opening of NMS's Pan American Center on Nov. 30, 1968, and the Aggies first NCAA tourney victory there over BYU on Mar 6, 1969.
