Bourne (#12) started and played a lot. but didn't score well. (USA is very defensively) She had good rebounding and all decent around game. They played the USA which is pretty good, but not particularly polished...and lost by about 20. Rough and tough sloppy game

A quick video of Bourne getting pounded....obviously she got hammered. (the only video I've found of the game so far.)

Much better second game by Bourne. The "international" play seemed to take a game or so, to get used to... she looked more comfortable.

The aggressiveness needed playing this summer will be a huge benefit for her....the B!G plays similarly.

She's competent in lots of good basic moves..particularly inside.

Very promising indeed.

watched most of the hungary game---i thought her game is very comparable to what mershon brought the huskers last season. gets up and down the court well. can mix it up underneath. passes well. maybe better off the dribble than mershon, though. only one game, so, hard to evaluate offense. as redsteve stated, very promising and i think she will see her share of minutes right from the get-go.

Don't have a replay, but AUS beat Columbia by 9. Now onto qtr finals I think

Bourne only played about 20 min, but had 11 pts. (5/8), 4 rebs, an assist. (top scorer for AUS)

The US U19 women's team continues to smoke pretty much everyone...will win the tourney unless half the team misses the bus.

After watching a a few of Bourne's games would kind of think she's more of 4, than a 5 inside player. But can score around the basket...shots a decent 3 too.

(AUS has a couple of bigs we could sure use.)

She's still young and needs, and will get, more experience at a higher level of play, as are most young players. Got natural talent though. May of had some good coaching along the way. Run's the floor well.

In another game AUS defeated Mail by 12

They're now in semi finals against Spain. which has a pretty good team

Bourne played a lot... made some shots late in the game.

:

14 pts, 28 min, 6/10 shooting,  (was 2/3 at 3's). 6 rebs

Apparently AUS beat Spain in semi's today, so AUS will play the USA in the finals tomorrow.

Very well could be interesting. Want to find a replay tomorrow if possible.

Bourne  isn't starting but seems to be the 6th man of the team, and playes more minutes than some starters.....doesn't make a lot of sense but that's what happening.

Against  Spain she played 29 min, had 5 pts, and most impressively had 9 rebounds....and...3 assists, a steal. So good all around game but shots weren't falling to well.

Maybe she'd better coming off the bench in seeing how the game is flowing.

Not sure it means anything really Bugs...(how she used on the AUS team vs how she'll fit in at NU). it's an entirely different situation she will be coming into playing with NU, entirely different  roster, different schemes, coaches, etc etc.

Both she, and the Huskers will just blend as it works out....her skills in combination with NU's needs. It will be a learning experience at first for everyone.  Much like the 4 freshman last year.

I kind of expect it may be a short time span, and she'll be good to go.

For whatever it's worth, there  were two or three AUS players that could play on most B1G teams. Bourne was on a good team as evidenced by their finish in the tourney

I'm certainly eager to see- as I suspect everyone else is- what she'll bring to the table and how much she'll be used this coming season.  I suspect she'll get some good minutes certainly as the season rolls along, if not immediately.  Time will tell.
