Bugeaters1 Posted August 1, 2018 Report Posted August 1, 2018 Is put on paid leave while the OSU conducts an investigation into his knowledge of abuse by his WR coach. The WR coaches name escapes me at the moment. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted August 1, 2018 Report Posted August 1, 2018 The WR coach [Smith] I believe has been a jackwagon! If you remember, he is the coach that started a twitter war with Coach Williams. If Urban hid the truth, OSU will be in a very uninviable position. Will Ohio State really do the right thing and fire their golden cow? Norm Peterson and Bugeaters1 2 Quote

A year ago, maybe. But #MeToo has brought down some big names. People are finally taking some of this shit seriously. And domestic violence is a problem that we see repeatedly in the context of big-time sports, so to sweep it under the rug and pretend you didn't know that an assistant should have been fired years ago just isn't going to fly very well in the current climate. I think he could be toast. Bugeaters1 and Huskerpapa 2 Quote
AuroranHusker Posted August 2, 2018 Report Posted August 2, 2018 Meyer said a year ago that coaches heads should roll in regards to NCAA hoops investigation. Karma, Urbs. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted August 2, 2018 Report Posted August 2, 2018 And now new allegations of player abuse while at Florida. The plot continues to thicken. Bugeaters1 1 Quote

AuroranHusker Posted August 8, 2018 Report Posted August 8, 2018 Urbs has always seemed like a creep. I don't have any inside information. But, he has proved to be a jerk, at least. Quote

HuskerFever Posted August 23, 2018 Report Posted August 23, 2018 A one-game suspension for the Michigan/Ohio State game would be a much bigger punishment than this three-game joke. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted August 24, 2018 Report Posted August 24, 2018 Ohio State takes these allegations very seriously and believes some punishment of the head coach is appropriate. In consideration of the fact that this was a position coach rather than a coordinator, and the fact he was only beating his wife rather than raping an entire generation of young men, they feel a 3-game suspension for some early, cupcake games will send a strong message that such behavior will absolutely NOT be tolerated in the future. mwm89, Bugeaters1, Silverbacked1 and 1 other 4 Quote
AuroranHusker Posted August 24, 2018 Report Posted August 24, 2018 (edited) Urbs might not have given an "accurate" account of events, but he didn't deliberately lie. Suuuuuuuuure. Edited August 24, 2018 by AuroranHusker mwm89 1 Quote
