He said no to us.

...and you know this as a fact?  I guess I know and trust what I was told, so if you know and trust what you are told, then we must agree to disagree so to speak.

I know sometimes reliable sources tell me things that might be true but aren't necessarily true if that makes sense.

We offered Nate in June during which time he's decreased his list.  At any point we could have told him no and he could have eliminated us with no drama. We instead not only had him in for an official but flew out to his house.  He's a guy talented enough to play here in a position we need more players in. We went out and offered another big man on Oct 15th. The article about his recruitment that came out 3 minutes after he announced had been written well before.  We knew he wasn't coming here well in advance of his announcement.

Maybe you're trying to say that $omething el$e came up without $aying that at all; I suppose semantically you could be right in your assessment.  To that point I would ask you this: assuming that no other school was doing that and Roberts had decided he would accept our scholarship offer do you think we would have said no?  I sure don't even if he or someone else had hit us up about $$.

At the end of the day it really doesn't matter because the results are the same: he's not coming here and we're on to the next guy.

I was simply told that something came to light in the most recent in-home visit.  I didn't ask the questions that could have followed.  The individual who told me of the event is typically reliable.  He typically is spot on or really close to being spot on.  So I will not bet my house on him being 100% correct, but I have no reason to doubt him.
