Not to sound like a sore loser but he was pretty low on my priority list compared to other prospects we are in on.

Did he commit somewhere else already?

 

I assumed the list of five schools a few posts above was his top five (which does not include Nebraska).

Pardon my skepticism, but Robin's source was probably the same person who appears on the original post above, who merely cites "per source."

We know that the Husker staff is not the "per source."

Perhaps I missed it, but there is no indication anywhere that the Husker coaches were following this kid on the AAU circuit.  There is no other cited connection of any sort.

And . . . I wouldn't be so skeptical, if it weren't for the head coach's tweet I recently re-posted bemoaning the reports of offers that don't exist.

This is probably all legit . . . but it seems odd.

Ok. You are probably right.

But to carry skepticism a step further, compare this with what happened on another Lewis contact, Lavar Batts, Jr. With Lavar, we already knew by July 1 of the Husker interest -- or, at least, he already had a page on this board as being of interest to the staff. Then we received periodic updates of increasing levels of interest on both sides.

There is no such advance notice or discussion on this guy.
