  1. It's in OWH today too. Sounds good...kept wondering about their injuries.....and if they indeed can be ready by regular season. Obviously those two will have a huge impact on the teams success. We'll be a different team on several levels...most of them good.
  2. Exciting stuff ! Seems like forever since the new freshmen committed. Now they'll get to experience some real flavor of the college game. And then the overseas trip...very fun stuff. It will be a tight schedule for Shepard to get fully ready for the regualr season. Hope she's able to recover by then...recover and not have any knee problems. Hope so for her sake. (I had two boys that had knee surgerys (not as bad injury as Shepard)...and both ...thank God...recovered well, and haven't had issues since.) Also hope the ankle/foot issues don't occur this year....had to have been some problem last year.....shoes...too much fatigue...whatever it was. Let the season begin
  3. Agree HUD... Our overall team height will be improved next year, much deeper. Will have several near the basket in the 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 & 5 range. More in numbers anyway. We'll still see a couple under 6 footers on most teams, but the numbers continue to dwindle. The quickness/speed of smaller girls is still valuable. Real nice mix of players for next year. As said, we look to be much, much deeper. ....yea !!!
  4. Yes, it will probably most benefit the UConns of this world.... that have talented enough players to be individual playmakers. Pass a couple of times and ...score !
  5. The changes..... will change the college game quite a bit probably, and agree, it may speed up the game like the article said.....all for that. Apparently they're trying to make for less structured (time consuming) play calling...that will change a lot of teams approach to the offense. As said the point overall, apparently is it will make college more similar to the pro/international game. Sounds like it's close to a done deal. No more 3 on 3 half court play????

  7. http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/myah-selland/ztTSRPTwEeKZ5AAmVebBJg/default.htm http://www.argusleader.com/videos/sports/high-school/2015/04/11/25652417/ Shows very nice skills and versatility. Got to think Connie knows of Myah...if not someone call them !
  8. If the administration doesn't do some drastic "changing" they are going to be the laughing stock of women's Bball. Enough of the phony baloney, take no responsibility PC. Clear the air, and make it a place the girls want to play.
  9. Probably a case of being clueless about what was really going on....In many ways. I still have to think young Miss White had to see some of the stuff happening.....but.... ...and/or... he apparently would never admit his mistake in character judgment of the coach...and he was fooled big time when Chatrice was recruited. To say the stuff he just said....after all that has occurred.....clueless.....out of touch with reality. These kids don't need to be harassed (and worse), and brow beat to play college sports.
  10. White was starting...so may not have received some of the crud being brought down on some.....but she had to see it going on. Only she knows what she'll do.....if I were Yori....not sure if I'd take her "back". Would have to give it a lot of thought. White would have to sit a B1G year anyway....B1G could give transfers an exception because of the circumstances???? It's got to have the full attention of the league. But Bollant.....he could face some real legal trouble ...let alone get canned. What a total scum bag way to coach..
  11. If that were to happen...(and it might well be)......it will open up the inside for Havers, Shepard, and anyone else. ...makes us even harder to defend. Something we haven't seen for a while.
  12. Pretty normal play ..in B1G play......and may create even more rough play.......may not be so many fouls from the pushing and shoving.
  13. Kind of thought all that was really needed was a shot clock....but whatever. Get in more commercials..is that the goal here?
  14. Alicia Ostrander was selected for the U.S. collegiate national team that will compete in the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships from June 21-29 in New Orleans, so she will miss some time this summer with the Bball team. Anyone know when she leaves to practice with the national team?
  15. Yori has said she would like to get one big, and one guard. So she got them for a year anyway. Clark's coming off a significant injury. Article doesn't say just how recovered she is, but Yori's quote seems to indicate Clark will be ready to play. A strong 3 shooter will be a big deal add....and obviously she's got lots of experience at the college level. NU's future looks a lot stronger now. But will have about 6 that haven't seen the floor in a Husker Bball uniform. About half the team. Still a young team. It will be very interesting to see how this all shakes out by next fall. Looks like we might have a pretty strong bench for a change. We'll be a much different team than the last couple of year.
  16. She will be a great add to the team.....very athletic.....and super experienced at big time college athletics. The atmosphere won't bother her at all. Wasn't she co-captain of the volleyball team? Big tough insider that can leap and rebound ! That alone will be huge. "in her high school career, she had 10 games with 20 or more rebounds and her career high was 30. She finished her career with 994 total rebounds." (and averaged 18 ppg) But she hasn't been playing basket ball consistently.... recently. Will have to get up to speed on the court. Great add if only for a year. Will help Shepard with another big to fill in time as needed
  17. Please do Row.......just hope the new recruiter can make some new inroads .......successfully.
  18. Hard to make anything of the departures other than they just wanted to move on. At the same time it's a little unusual that they left at the same time...but who knows ?
  19. I say yes...it probably had a substantial effect on the situation. You see it all the time where a coach leaves and the recruit looks elsewhere. The coaching change has to have hurt us in the short term at least. Hope our new recruiting coach has hit the ground running...big time.
  20. Great opportunity for Nebraska's Taylor K. Hope she does well and has some fun too. Good for her !
  21. If Alveraz put the heat on her like that......bye, bye Kelsey Next year will be the tipping point. Another one like the last will mean termination.
  22. Video about a year old ?.....she's #4...guard 5-9....#23 later in tape
  23. LJS article on Brown....wonderful infectious smile. http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/womens-basketball/women-s-basketball-tulsa-s-brown-joins-husker-staff/article_13bcc738-2123-5c32-b6f3-c5927d6fbf50.html
  24. Looks like maybe 5-5 - 5-6 ? Seems to have a good eye for the 3 shot .... so it looks in the video. A little like Nat maybe...but not a quick, defense.? .... we'll see. I assume she'll be here some time this summer? Yes HBs right.....need some 6-6 post....that can jump out of the gym. We can wish can't we
  25. http://m.cjonline.com/sports/2015-04-20/jones-meeks-part-ways-k-state#gsc.tab=0 So which coach leaves to get dad a job ?
