Rutgers (15-13) vs. Nebraska (20-9) Game Thread
Omaha Nebrasketballer replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right thread to ask in, but do players generally stick around after they come out of the locker room after the game and sign autos and take pics with fans? Taking my son today and I’m sure he’d really enjoy that. Is there a certain area to head to after the game to wait around? Any tips/suggestions appreciated. Thanks! -

Opening Night Scrimmage

Has anyone seen a schedule of events for the night? Really just want to be there for the basketball part of it and avoid the concert if possible. (Nothing against Rick Ross...I’ll just have my two young kids with me. Lol.) -
Lower case "n" Merch
Omaha Nebrasketballer replied to Handy Johnson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Yes, I share your frustration. The store at PBA is highly disappointing. I just don’t get it. They come up with a design that the fans love and want to buy, but then they don’t sell it. The PBA store seems to have the same generic gear you can get anywhere. -

Sorry if this has been discussed in another thread (I’m sure it has) but is there anywhere to buy the Herbie basketball gear? I’ve seen the hat, but what about the long sleeved red warmup shirt? Thanks in advance to anyone who has any ideas. -
While I never posted my thoughts on the Hoiberg rumors, I must admit that I’d roll my eyes whenever I saw someone mention the possibility of hiring him. I thought it was so far fetched and that it’d never actually happen. So happy to eat crow! Still can’t believe our new reality!
-
Ah, bummer! It would’ve been cool to have been able to buy a piece. Oh well.
-
Apologies if I missed this, but what are they doing with the current floor once it’s replaced? It’d be cool if they would sell pieces of it to fans like some teams do when they get new floors.

Man. If this in any way screws up securing Hoiberg...

N.I.T.: Nebraska vs Butler
Omaha Nebrasketballer replied to Silverbacked1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
So this is my 7th year as a season ticket holder, and I've been to many games before I had season tickets as well. With that being said, I can't remember ever being more pumped about going to a game than I am for tomorrow's game. Kind of weird, huh? I guess I'm still fired up about the performance in the Big 10 tourney with a depleted squad and am looking forward to rooting for these guys and Coach Miles one last time in person. -

I bought some tix earlier today and selected the “print at home” option. Still haven’t received the email to print my tix. Got the order confirmation email, just not the other one yet to print my tix. Anyone else in the same boat? Wasn’t sure if the delay was normal or I should call the ticket office tomorrow. Thanks. -
Dang, I just feel sick for him after seeing this. All happened on an absolute meaningless play after the whistle too. Ugh.

Fire Miles Talk (complete BS)
Omaha Nebrasketballer replied to mrj's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I just don't get how Nebraska isn't a team that isn't consistently in the NCAA tourney with the fan support and facilities we have for basketball. When watching games on tv it is fascinating to me how many schools can barely fill up half of their arenas for games but the vault is near capacity every game. If schools like Iowa State and K State are always making the NCAA tourney or at least always on the bubble of making it, then so should Nebraska. Schools like that have no advantage whatsoever in terms of recruiting bases, facilities, etc... Anyways, in relation to the main topic of this thread...yes, I believe Miles deserves another year based on what he is building/recruiting. We have the pieces in place to make the tourney next year, and based on my rambling at the start of my post, I think we should be in the running for the tourney year in year out afterwards. -

Tomorrow's practice = no one leaves until everyone makes 100 free throws -

Totally agree! Iowa is a really good team. Sure they started slow this season like us, but they are going to do some damage in league play and this will look like a darn good win when looking back. (Even better than it looks right now) -
2015-16 Husker opponents
Omaha Nebrasketballer replied to AuroranHusker's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Very excited about the return of Saturday home games. Feel like we only had 1-2 conference games at home on Saturdays last few seasons. Not a fan of games on Sundays, especially all of the Sunday night games we kept seemingly getting. -
Yeah, I think the demand is still effected a little bit by the season two years ago and many fans feeling like they may have missed out when the Wisconsin game came around. Plus the tickets are still a very good value for what the University charges for them. Hopefully it stays this way

Is it possible that a lot of the big "football fan only" donors jumped on the bandwagon after the success of last year's team and secured tickets for this year? And maybe a lot of those same people were vocal in voicing their opinion to the NU Athletic Department about how the crowds at PBA are "too loud", and that people "stand up too much"? It would be sad if true, but it also wouldn't surprise me....
