We may have been. This schedule is a grind. Pulling out games like this are the difference when you're walking that bubble line. Sunday's game just as important. -

I don't but this conference has depth as always. Every night is like this. That's why our start is so important. -

Ok... I know our free throws almost killed us. But you want to be in the top half of the b1g? That's the game you win We survived. Smile. -

I know I know... so many things could be said right now. But this game has been stupidly entertaining. -

We will make our run. ... -
Don't blame you. I think we will lose two more games we probably shouldnt. I also think we win two more we shouldnt and several tossups. What's that mean? Enjoy the damn ride.

Anyone who says that they legit thought we had a shot beyond a snowball's in hades to start 5-1... well we know they're lying. Heck if they were ok with 4-2 as a prediction they were lying too. This start is mind blowing because 3 of the next four are ours to win. I just hope these kids aren't afraid of success and just keep grinding. If they do that we control ourselves at this point. There isn't a game left that we can't win. Who'da thunk?

Our remaining schedule is pretty awesome

Any time you take out two of the top 5 teams on the road in your first two games your schedule is going to set up nice. -

You're not ahead of yourself... at least in my opinion. Rpi would be around 40-45. Probably need a b1g tourney win. 3-4 on the road (we play iowa and rutgers... it is doable) and 6-3 at home would do it -
Rpi up to 50ish http://www.rpiforecast.com/live-rpi.html

I agree. We could still end up 9-9 or have weird things happen .... it is a long season and young players are not conaistent. But you don't fluke 2-0 @indiana and maryland. We have to keep focused. The "miles must go" people need to be smacked upside the head at this point though.

I'm still getting my head around going 2-0 on the road and having a fairly reasonable shot to start 4-0... and in first place with two road wins against top 40is rpi teams -

Show of hands people who thought we COULD start 2-0 before Gardner webb. Bueller? I know I'm not the only one in shock. -

Solid half. Need to hit the boards better. If we take away their 2nd chances and keep up the shooting we got this... -

Just as an "out there" thought. At least since gardner-Webb it seems out there. We just won a game we probably shouldn't have won. On the road. Can we go say... 3-5 in our remaining road games (including Rutgers and iowa... two games I think we legitimately win) and 6-3 at home? 15-14 and 10-8... That's an nit resume if we can go 2-1 in the tournament and make it above .500 on div1 wins. Borderline ncaa given our schedule (15-14 with #5 sos is about rpi 48-55). http://www.rpiforecast.com/teams/Nebraska.html Mind blowing how one win makes things look not-awful. -

Got no words for this one. Just when we would think to give up on the season... this happens. Beat Maryland and suddenly we look extremely dangerous. I really don't know what to think right now. Mind blowing good win. -
This is (of course) an estimate given our schedule and others' and doesn't take a tournament win or two into account but... http://www.rpiforecast.com/teams/Nebraska.html 9-9 in the conference puts us squarely on the bubble (RPI 45). I believe we made it with an RPI of about 40 in 2014. 1-1 in the B1G tournament would probably get us in. This team could hit that 9-9 mark in my opinion -- maybe even 11-7 if we get over our freshman jitters and decide we can win these games instead of playing a bit scared and like freshman. After the first two games our conference schedule isn't that bad. The meat-grinder aspect of our overall schedule is just about done. For whatever it is or isn't worth, I love how this schedule has worked as well.

Jack has obviously taken a step forward this year. I think the mistake the night before got in his head a bit. been there. it sucks and how he reacts is going to determine how good he is going to be. a shooter has to be able to ignore misses and mistakes or it'll eat them alive. He's a good shooter. and even good shooters have nights like last night. seems like he will end up around 37-42% on 3's which is decent. (aw3 was 41% as a junior jack is a sophomore). The hardest step forward is the next one. the difference between a guy like say... andrew white ... as a shooter and a guy like kyle korver or the obvious ones like steph curry can be summed up in two words. When they're open an opponent goes "ah shit". even when having a bad night or when they make mistakes in other parts of the game. Jack had looks. he missed. I think he will be better than andrew white by the time he is gone from here. the question im asking is if he takes that upper leap or not.

uneblinstu's Post Game Chatter: Vol 9, Ed 5 - UCLA

That. 40% shooting from those two and 65% from the line (not asking for the moon) and we at the very least are in It the last minute. and if I'm honest I think we win. We are young. I still think gill and Jack will have as many good games as bad and I will believe that until proven wrong. I hate "good losses". but we played a really good team hard in a virtual road game. take it and let's go beat va tech. -

Our d definitely showed up... that's a positive -
I think the better question is if they will even try. they don't like defense.
