Living up here in the twin cities this was my one game for the year. I walked in hoping Sunday was a fluke. I walked out wondering why I care about sports at all. What else could I do with my time?

Even in warmups, everyone else was taking shots to get ready for the game, Coleman was throwing stuff at the hoop from 60 feet, the scorers table, wherever. He’s not mentally in it. At the same time on the other end of the court, Sam made about 15 shots in a row. He seemed like he was getting ready for a game. Does Fred not play him because he’s his kid? He at least gives effort and plays his role on both ends.

It’s more the eye test on the ineffective 35.4% that’s driving my nitpicking.

Gary could certainly use the fact that he’s made a couple threes to get the defense closing out hard and/or up in the air, then attack off of it and get to the basket and free throw line when he’s not totally open. Now he’s just gotta make that move and not huck it up there every time.

I said 3-1 and if that loss is next Wednesday when I’m in attendance, so help me god, I will shit in concourse of that barn.

Tim was a good person and a coach that was easy to root for. His players seemed to like playing for him, he always represented the university well. He did his best to take this program to a new level and was damn close. I think a lot of people just want to see him do well, myself included. I’d love it if he could take a team to the dance and win some games. I’ll always feel terrible for him that he was bounced from our game vs. Baylor.
