  1. St John's just beat Stoney Brook tonight. Stoney Brook played a respectable game.
  2. "I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent and impact my home-state team in a place that really supports their athletic programs,” Prince told the Omaha World-Herald. “My longstanding familiarity and weekly phone calls with Coach (Amy) Williams really solidified our relationship and belief in each other.”
  3. Their game is on FS1 tonight at 8:00 pm.
  4. Before I put this game into my rear view mirror, two additional thoughts: * the student section impressed me last night. Size, noise level and ingenuity all were impressive. Loved how they latched on to one player and picked on him. Good stuff. * how in the heck do we mess up our own player introductions? That was ugly...as was our players hiking all over the floor looking for the referees, who appeared to be hiding behind our cheer squads. Poor Reink who looked lost when he was announced.
  5. Yeah, I understand your thoughts on Gary. I was only going on a tidbit I heard; that we may see Gary @ the 3 with certain personnel groups. Then again, it may have simply been a practice experiment.
  6. Agree!
  7. One big disagreement. Josiah starts at the 4! I think we will see Gary swing between the 4 & 3 positions. CJ will swing between the 2 & 3. If Blaise ever makes it back, he and Keisei may be the only two players married to their positions/roles.
  8. A lot of good takes on the game from everyone. Again, our opponent was inferior, but we did not play down, which has happened all too often in our past. I thought it was a telltale sign of what this team is about occurred with about six or seven minutes left in the game, and up by 30+ points, Josiah dove on the floor for a loose ball. Great effort play. I can see why Fred likes this team. Like last year, they appear to be a cohesive unit that works hard and has an eye on the prize. Here's hoping that we just played our worst game of the year, and we continue to evolve.
  9. A lot of positives tonight. Josiah is a dude!
  10. Nice win. Certainly played an inferior team; but didn't play down to the competition. That is good news.
  11. It is near the walkway that heads into the PBA I believe. Just north of the arena and sort of southeast of Haymarket Park. I think.
  12. Any definitive word as to who will be unavailable Monday night. Yes, Gary is out...who else?
  13. Great news today for our women's team as Britt Prince committed. Huge news!
  14. Hmm. I wonder if she watched volleyball, then committed, or vice-versa.
  15. Great news...Great news!
  16. Lol...if we are counting on my memory, we are in deep trouble. That said, I did remember that specific article.

  18. She was with her fam in Lincoln today. Of course, she was joined by 100's other friends and classmates enjoying her school at the Nebraska State Volleyball championships.
  19. I do love our defensive scheme. It is awesome to watch. BUT, any scheme (offensively or defensively) is only as good as its weakest link. We will soon learn if we have any of those links.
  20. Bobby was a polarizing man. He did a lot of good. Many would stand in line advocating about his compassion. But perhaps more people believe he was evil. He was a great coach; but he personified everything wrong with that type of coach. All that said...may he rest in peace.
  21. Tubby's was a bit more docile the two times I was there. Granted, it was a bit earlier in the evening.
  22. Lol...but he is a better golfer.
