  1. One game at a time. Can't look forward, can't look back. Simply focus on the game in front of you and take care of business. We can't focus on win #17 until we secure win #16. I know, I know these are tired old adages; but they are soooo true.
  2. Done watching the replay...we still won, we still shot extremely well and it was still lots of fun
  3. Announcers...Rienk Mast, the bloodiest player in the conference!
  4. Back home. Nice win. Needed win. Think about. 8 minutes of pretty bad basketball. Bad game from Keisei. Gary didn't play. Little offense from JLaw and Sam...yet we thumped a pretty good team. Nicely done. Where were the fans? Folks, it isn't Peacocks fault. I just started watching the replay, and they do good work. I know it is maddening, but the channel is worth the coin. Just saying. Oh yeah...Mast was awesome!
  5. He accepted his role and is playing very good basketball.
  6. Pretty good half, especially the last 8 minutes or so.
  7. Spot on. We did a much better job though, against Nortwestern, with back cuts and rolls to the rim.

  9. Thorir earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Nebraska in May of 2021. So I think you may be right. I believe he could have played one additional year here, but opted out to play pro.
  10. He transferred in, he started at Xavier.
  11. Hmm, that got me thinking. Who was our last player, who played their entire career at UNL and graduated?
  12. Here's the deal, fans will get excited with a big win, and they will storm the floor. A rope being held to prevent the surge may deter a few; but the majority will still forge ahead, and the rope simply becomes a safety hazard for trip and falls. Having additional security is possible; but staffing what would be needed seems like extreme overkill for 99% of games. The goals should be to protect the players and staff, mostly for the opposing team; safety for those that are storming the floor; and finally, protection for the facilities and equipment. When Husker fans stormed the floor, all those goals were accomplished. The Purdue players were not at risk and the arena staff did a good job with security and safety. So the grade provided is A+. At OSU, I question why a player, perhaps one of the most polarizing players on the court, was running off the floor, pretty much isolated from her teammates, staff or security. That seems to have e been a failure of the number one goal.
  13. If a team has a ball stolen, that is also considered a turnover, correct? The board at the arena charts both steals and turnovers, which can create ambiguity.
  14. No, he is a solid assistant for us.
  15. I watched Howard and Ernie working an official for the entirety of a time out. Howard was very animated. That was good to see.
  16. Wow. Certainly accidental; but...
  17. Sorry......I was trying to be a bit funny or facetious. we worry so much about how WE match up to other teams; we sometimes forget that the opposition may have a greater issue matching up to us.
  18. I thought you meant this type of streaking???
  19. What PSU is saying about us??? Markowski is a stud. A double-double machine. Not sure we can contain her. Potts is a freaking freshman. She complements Markowski...sheesh. That Jaz girl is the real deal. Her passing and timely scoring is a match up nightmare. The rest of the Husker team can score and defend. They are literally 9 to 10 deep, day in, and day out. Even on our home court, this will be a difficult game at best. Just saying...
  20. Saw that and thought the same thing.
  21. A few other sites and sounds witnessed at the game: - Noah in his special helmet. Always good to see you Noah! - Kevin and his red hat/hair. Always great to see and hear him. Always fun to play where's Waldo/Kevin! - More alumni than ever before. - the dramatic entrance of the football recruits. Dare I say, a bus load. - Coach Rhule present and throwing the bones. - Coach Cook, front and center. - The Vault nearly full...and few of the patrons were students. - Fans staying to the end, and even lingered a bit.
  22. Towards the end of the game, Josiah was at the scorers table waiting to come. Can't remember the exact circumstance, but Joaiah was jumping around celebrating. Classic! Then instead of going in, he walked back to the bench and sat down.
  23. A few thoughts: - Sweet win. Northwestern is a good team, so are we. - I won't slam the refereeing, yet it is simply amazing when there are bodies flying and major impacts and nothing is called. Then 20 seconds later a touch foul is called. Not sure I understand. Plus Collins can run the floor, literally, without even a warning. Really? - One negative, the careless turnovers. Nuf said about that. - We rebounded much better today. Much better. - Mast is simply getting beat up. Man he takes some blows. - Josiah was a man today. - Much better game out of JLaw today. Good job. - Wilcher was as mad as I have seen him today. Loved the fire. - Keisei showed up when we needed him. But he had a sneaky good overall game. Good job rebounding. Everyone who played contributed, including Eli who gave us several minutes of quality. - Good to see Blaise suited up.
