  1. What PSU is saying about us??? Markowski is a stud. A double-double machine. Not sure we can contain her. Potts is a freaking freshman. She complements Markowski...sheesh. That Jaz girl is the real deal. Her passing and timely scoring is a match up nightmare. The rest of the Husker team can score and defend. They are literally 9 to 10 deep, day in, and day out. Even on our home court, this will be a difficult game at best. Just saying...
  2. Saw that and thought the same thing.
  3. A few other sites and sounds witnessed at the game: - Noah in his special helmet. Always good to see you Noah! - Kevin and his red hat/hair. Always great to see and hear him. Always fun to play where's Waldo/Kevin! - More alumni than ever before. - the dramatic entrance of the football recruits. Dare I say, a bus load. - Coach Rhule present and throwing the bones. - Coach Cook, front and center. - The Vault nearly full...and few of the patrons were students. - Fans staying to the end, and even lingered a bit.
  4. Towards the end of the game, Josiah was at the scorers table waiting to come. Can't remember the exact circumstance, but Joaiah was jumping around celebrating. Classic! Then instead of going in, he walked back to the bench and sat down.
  5. A few thoughts: - Sweet win. Northwestern is a good team, so are we. - I won't slam the refereeing, yet it is simply amazing when there are bodies flying and major impacts and nothing is called. Then 20 seconds later a touch foul is called. Not sure I understand. Plus Collins can run the floor, literally, without even a warning. Really? - One negative, the careless turnovers. Nuf said about that. - We rebounded much better today. Much better. - Mast is simply getting beat up. Man he takes some blows. - Josiah was a man today. - Much better game out of JLaw today. Good job. - Wilcher was as mad as I have seen him today. Loved the fire. - Keisei showed up when we needed him. But he had a sneaky good overall game. Good job rebounding. Everyone who played contributed, including Eli who gave us several minutes of quality. - Good to see Blaise suited up.
  6. Pike hitting the half court shot (3rd attempt) was an unexpected highlight. As was the young lady crawling across the floor for her money.
  7. Whew...back home. Great win. Loved it! Turnovers --------- yuck!
  8. Blaise is on the floor, warming up. For me...low expectations for his first time out. Then again, any minutes will be a positive.
  9. Was at that game as well. Fantastic game; and that is factual even if I had all my kids eventually attending and playing for the bolts.
  10. Yes he was and that is why he is/was suspended. My surprise is that he got the referenced "restraining order" which I assume prevents him from being suspended??? That shocks me.
  11. Just so everyone is somewhat grounded: Grade 1: A mild strain where only a few of the muscle fibers are strained. This usually takes 1-3 weeks for recovery. Calf Muscle Injury - - NHS TIMS - NHS TIMS Calf strains take between 4 weeks and 6 months to heal. The typical healing times for the different grades of calf strain are: Grade 1: 4 – 6 weeks. 12. Out for Northwestern and then day to day while he fully recovers. Dare I say, this is almost the best case scenario.
  13. Man, that team was relatively small...but good. Loved the photo of Kent...would you buy a used car from him based solely on that picture?
  14. Correct me if I am wrong Jimmy; but I always thought that tearing an Achilles had a very distinct sound to it. The recipient of the tear seemed to know it happened. Is that fact or fiction?
  15. Flopping didn't seem to effect their point guard. He had a blatant flop in the first half and was instead rewarded with three free throws. Does Keisei flop and occasionally display theatrics? Absolutely; but 100's of other players provide the same or similar theatrics, night in, and night out.
  16. At one point, we are trapping a dude, and a foul was called because we were in the dudes cylinder or space (whatever its called). But then they don't call that same foul on multiple occasions when we were the one that was being encroached upon. Don't even get me started on the multiple over-the-back no-calls. We got homered; but that said, we still should've won.
  17. Perhaps it has been said, but we really were beaten up in this game. Simply look at the scrapes and scratches on Mast and the cut under Josiah's chin. (Also the 25 or so offensive boards given up). Not to mention that Keisei looked like a pin-ball bounching here, there and everywhere. Dare I say, we were bullied. Not sure what we do about it; but it was rather brutal. My silver lining was that as poorly as we played in major stretches, we could have and perhaps should have still won. Crap!
  18. Key word remains...consistency! Reality bites.
  19. Nice win. Needed win. Way to get it done ladies! Just a silly factoid --- in every game played, one team wins and one team loses.
  20. Welp. Frustrated. Could, shoulda, didn't
