  1. Goodness. We are struggling. We do not look good right now. No continuity.
  2. We seem to be sort of going through the motions. At some point the light needs to come on. Perhaps they are simply attempting to keep it close in the first half, and then extend their effort in the second half???
  3. If Glynn and Tai can pick up their games, we appear to be fine. Both are struggling just a bit right now.
  4. Come on men, let's get it done today!!!
  5. Hmmm, we may soon be hearing some news.
  6. I thought he was headed to Arkansas.
  7. Jordy is an upper body away from being pretty good. We can also talk about experience, et al. But when you watch Jordy it appears he is thinking, and that creates hesitation. He has to let it flow and live with what happens. He comes out of the game and it looks like his head is spinning. He is asking questions, getting input and then sits and thinks about it. If and when he reenters, he is even more mechanical rather than spontaneous, taking what is available to him.
  8. Another name that is floating about is Joe Barry, late of the Washington Redskins; et al.
  9. ...will the students help solve most of our "problems"?
  10. Another option (more so for change of pace) will be that we go small. If we open the lane offensively, it may allow us to get to the rim off of the dribble. But defensively it would be problematic. Perhaps it would put us in line to play our 1-3-1 zone?
  11. Well, he is a Monte Kiffin disciple. Wonder about his ability to recruit, but perhaps his lack of experience would be offset by his NFL experience. And oh, he was a pretty good defensive coordinator with the Seahawks under Pete Carroll
  12. Gunderson, Stewart, Banker...wish them well. Now who can we get that will bring us championships.
  13. Okay, I have had some time now to let this resonate and give it more detailed thought....nope, it still sucks. First, Ed is not replaceable by anyone currently on our team. To think that is not true, see Cip above. MJ will have to play Ed's role to a certain extent, but more minutes down under by Isaiah and Jordy are a must. Isaiah and Jordy, time to remove your diapers. You are no longer freshmen. Get your aggressive shorts out of the dresser, put them on, you need to play big boy basketball now. We will likely have a Nick sighting as well. He plays the four and four is where we are going to need to buy a few minutes. As far as Jeriah and Jack, their roles should not be altered much other than when they are in, they need to defend because we do not have that eraser behind you...and oh yeah, they need to score as well.
  14. This sucks, but you could tell something was up, especially at the NW game. That was not a typical Ed game...
  15. I believe the real problem on Sunday is the PBA doesn't serve alcohol on Sundays...oh wait!
  16. I am interested as well. We have had at least two "bigs" who are seniors this year get scholies from Division I schools. In addition to Chandler, the Norfolk kid got one from Cal State-Davis. (I guess that is Division I basketball). I am wondering if Topper has that potential as well. I am told the kid has come a long way. As a matter of interest, I also found it strange that he didn't do anything against Central in the transition game. I had heard that was a part of his game.
  17. Heck, a portion of our crowd does not like the HUSKER POWER chant during the opposing team introduction. We are just not nice
  18. We can have a yell squad as long as they don't tumble and so forth... http://peninsulaclarion.com/stories/082002/spo_082002spo0040001.shtml#.WHZvhtIzV9M http://caselaw.findlaw.com/ne-supreme-court/1267421.html
  19. I personally have them near the top, but as Jon mentions and I agree 100%, I'd put them up against anybody!
  20. Ed is out... Huskers 70 Michigan 75
  21. There are a number of us who believe exactly what you are preaching brother...but we are the diehards, who are there thick and thin. I am the one yelling BRICK during an opposing free throw and being hushed by someone an aisle over. The problem though, and you cannot discount this, is that there are a number of people in the stands that are not of our ilk. They need stimuli to react to. We want those fans at the game but to motivate them out of their seats is difficult at best. Guess what, they are not the ones reading Husker Hoops Central either, so what we say or wish for is not reaching that audience. I have a friend who professes to be a husker fan, who says he would rather stay home and watch the game in comfort without the parking problems or bad/expensive foods. Well, good for him. But others wish for the game time experience, but for whatever reason, wishes not to be a participant. Hard to figure.
  22. Are you planning on following my group...wait I shouldn't say that should I
  23. Sorry guys...that post went seriously wrong.
