Don't we retain the right to turn down the requested day and time? If so, just turn it down?
-
The more we think we know probably means we know little.
-
The surgery was to both feet, right? Yikes, would recovery take longer?
-
Yes! Sorry, that was kinda rude...in my humble opinion, yes.
-
Agree.
-
Correct, so leverage technology to actually help them.

When there were two refs, I knew each of their responsibilities. Now with three refs, I am unsure what the responsibilities are for each position. But as the three refs rotate, they each shift responsibilities and they each have their own nuances and they each see things slightly different. Then you factor in their egos, the speed of the game/players and the size of the players. Contact should be a foul. That is what the rule book says. But hey, let's tweak the rule book and yet not change the rule. We will simply judge whether or not the contact actually impedes the player, and oh yeah, it different if it is big on big, or small on small, and is completely different if it is small on big. Traveling, oh yeah, I remember when it was a violation. We will only call 3 seconds a couple times a year, we need to let fans know we can count...lol. I keep hearing how difficult refereeing is, hmm. Adherence to the rules is hard. Thank gawd police don't have that issue, right? If it is too hard for humans, computerize it. It can be done.

Oh man, do tell!

Simply incapable of putting a positive spin on this...yet. I suppose in a month or so when the additions are at or near an end, we may be able to look back and release a big old smile...until then, we still haven't heard from Cale, Sam, Henry, Grace, Reink, Juwan or Brice. Heck, what about Nick and Braden? Has any team in the country lost as many as we have? What does our new AD think? Heck, what does Fred think? Fred? Hello Fred, you still out there? Good grief.

We are looking at Juco as well. So our new players could seemingly come high school, foreign market, junior college or the transfer portal. The scholarship is gonzo. It certainly can be renewed if he comes back; but a return is not a given. The school can say no go, and the player is left on the outside, looking in. Or so I have been told.
-
Some athletes are able to return in six or seven months; a realistic time frame is about ten months. So yes, softball is certainly a possibility. I sort of said the same thing about Allison. These players are tough. They will do anything to push the time frame. You almost have to hold them back.

Again, it may not have been an overt push. It may have been that he was told that the PG experiment was not as successful as needed, plus we have Ahron and a new portal PG coming in, so we should be solid. So we will move you back full-bore to the off-guard role. You will complete for time there with Brice (who will split his time like last year), Jankowski (have you watched that kid JLaw?), and a yet to be determined portal transfer, if a quality player becomes available. But dude, you really improved your shot during the season, we think with continuing improvement, you will be a dawg for us next year. So if you are JLaw, do you test the waters, or do you go in the off-season full of piss and vinegar and compete for time? I personally come back; but if handlers are saying, dude that is disrespectful, we can get you guaranteed time and $$$$ elsewhere, then perhaps, he follows the path of many, many others.

I keep going back to the year-end interviews. These interviews supposedly involve projected future roles along with expectations for improvement of skills, conditioning and the like. So I go back to a question of whether or not we provided a push to the players to exit the program? Perhaps not an overt push; but a push nonetheless. I can envision the discussions with every player that has departed, as well as the few that have stayed so far. And if they went as I have envisioned, then I am not as shocked by the departures. Just saying.
-
Maybe LeBron will retire and take over the head coaching job.
-
Well true; but AD's don't count.
-
Can you talk dollars elsewhere, prior to entering the portal? Isn't tampering a thing?
-
I think husker nation needs to hear from Fred telling us everything is on plan and everything is fine. We need to settle some nightmarish nerves.
-
Ummm, I'm sooo confused?
-
We're not forcing these guy's out, are we???
-
Yeah, I'm not positive about anyone.
-
Good grief. The news today just sucks.
-
Lord.

Still, one Nebraskan in the group!

Heard Dotzler from Creighton/Bellevue West is now roaming free.
