  1. We haven't heard definitively. However, if you read the huskers.com article about the Hammond transfer carefully, after it details the Hammond departure as well as the Borchardt and Trueblood departures, the very last paragraph talks about who Nebraska returns for next season. Says something like 6 players who played significant minutes or something to the effect. Someone could still transfer but I took it like this was it. OK, well, six contributors return, plus Benny and Shavon makes 8. Hammond would be nine. Gill is ten. Empty spot is 11. That leaves ... Evelyn and fuller probably weren't included in that six. They mentioned 3 returning starters and 3 others who played in at least 30 games.

  3. And Miles' thing for lefties continues...
  4. That seems to be the plan but it's not official yet.
  5. Spring game. Patience guys...
  6. I think that may be. I posted some info about Morrow about a week ago and can now post more. It does sound like things are in line for Ed to return thank goodness. He's definitely got his share of things to work on, the first being to get healthy, but his athletic ability and raw potential are sky high. Robin Washut basically put to bed the Ed Morrow transfer rumors with a tweet at the end of last week but with some information I knew, it wasn't a completely dead issue. I would feel incredibly stupid if a transfer announcement came tomorrow so as of right now, family and those in Ed's camp have him convinced that he should stay here in school and return to the team as he has been checking into summer classes. That's as of now and I would be completely shocked to hear an announcement of Ed transferring. Did people honestly think Ed was going to leave?Seems like a lot of rumors with little to no meat behind them. But if he was thinking about it, I question Ed's toughness a bit... Get healthy and you will get your minutes. It probably didn't matter if people thought that Ed was going to leave or not but it was certainly an option and a possibility

  8. Interesting stuff right there. Looks like he's at a prep school in Connecticut??
  9. Excellent point. I keep warning everyone clammoring for a big man that landing one doesn't necessarily mean he steps on campus, finds the floor, and makes the difference we need. Big men take 2, 3, 4 years to develop and we've got a couple rostered right now that might fit that mold even though they look less than ideal right now. The difference being, of course, that Oklahoma has Buddy Hield. Plus a few other shooters.

  11. Ok everyone lets stop. It's clear that golfer central legend's goal is to have a majority of the threads on this board shut down by his own doing. Let's not help him out no matter how tempting.
  12. Anytime I watched a TV game down the stretch (and those were just road games and the B1G tourney) the commentators would gush over how good Watson was going to be. Fact is, we haven't had a freshman on the floor doing the things Glynn did at PG this year in a long time. You can just tell by watching him that he's got that moxy that we're not used to seeing in a Husker jersey. He will be special. It is not unreasonable at all to think top 1/3 for him next season.
  13. The regular signing period begins April 13 and is through May 18.
  14. Not really. Have you seen the sunshine pumpin' going on around here with the "next year" crowd? Really wondering what all the bashers are going to have to say when Miles loads us up on big men in the next couple months. Yes, I'm waiting for that to happen. They are saying 'sunshine pumper' and whatever but when it does happen what will they say? Because you have to be blind to not see how close we were this year and that's with all freshman and no big. Add a big or two or three and then there's no reason not to be optimistic. I'm still waiting...
  15. This thread sucks so much.
  16. Wait, do we call oranges “oranges” because they are orange, or do we call the color orange “orange” because it is the color of oranges? That's another question but it doesn't answer mine. The dead squirrel hair cuts-what's with them?
  17. So North Carolina has missed 4 shots with each one of those misses bouncing straight to them for easy lay ins. On top of that, the refs have missed several calls. Slaps to the face, hacks, and body checks with no calls in favor of Indiana. On the other end there have been 3-4 phantom fouls on Indiana for touching the ball or standing in the wrong spot. When will Indiana catch a break? End rant. Thanks.
  18. What's with all the orange cabbage patch kids hair? I was alerted that they did a special report about how Auguste styles the team's hair? Is this a real thing?
  19. We have to go back to when Norm was 4 years old to find his post #2... Norm was 4 in 2005??? That would make him only 15 now!! Norm, are you working on your learners permit yet?
  20. Well at least the guys still like each other enough to banter on Twitter a little bit
  21. Link's final game played for Blinn was January 20 which happened to also be the last day for dropping/adding classes for 2nd semester on their academic calendar....so I wonder if he wasn't with the team 2nd semester or if he just happened to get injured after that
  22. We have to retain him or it won't matter. This concerns me right now with some rumblings I heard over the weekendI would like to see Watson get this three point % up to mid 30's next year. If he can become a threat from deep he will be very tough to stop. Care to elaborate? Any reason why he wouldn't stay?I can share some things. Info comes directly from someone who knows Ed/Morrow family, we'll just leave it at that. They have frequent contact with Ed and have lengthy discussions (ie actually know Ed/Morrow family not just here-say or saw him at the mall once and said hi).Ed is struggling with going from high school where he played every minute and was 'the guy' to having to earn minutes/work hard to see the floor. As is probably the case with most guys his age he feels like he should have played more this year (despite being injured). He also had some school issues which probably led to decreased opportunity toward the end of first semester. So injuries/grades probably kept him from playing as much as he might have, which is obviously frustrating to him, but he stills feels he was shorted for playing time. He also feels like he lacks a true relationship with any of the coaches. Right now Ed is kind of questioning whether he should return or transfer and give it a go elsewhere. He's wavering back and forth. The good news is that he doesn't know or even have a plan on where he would transfer to. To me it sounds like freshman frustrations (magnified by injuries), and I truly hope for his sake that he gives it another go here at Nebraska. He really has the potential, raw ability and talent to be a special player here. One of those that succeeds so much that his name is remembered amongst the Husker greats. Even more so if he can help the program achieve new heights. If I had to guess right now I'd say he would be back...but you never know what goes on in these young minds...he's got good people guiding his decisions... More info in about a week... Morrow has a lot of potential but he's also a guy who doesn't have his defensive assignments down + was lifting weights on his own. To me these are signs that he believes he knows (or hears from non-staff members) what it is that he needs to do to play more instead of following what the coaches want him to do. Now is a time of year to stew about not playing enough last year and imagine that it's going to be the same thing next year...not particularly productive. Putting the question "What do I need to do to start next year?" to the staff, getting a detailed list, and then following it seems a lot more useful to accomplish his goals. Most every guy on our roster and most every roster is going to have thoughts about whether they should transfer. For Ed maybe there are reasons why playing with a bunch of family around him is a bad idea...it certainly wasn't the best for Deverell Biggs. For instance, Bakari Evelyn is potentially going through a similar process but because he doesn't have family around here there isn't a 'bunch of smoke' floating around about what he's going to do. At the end of the day though we're in one of the top conferences in the country and a team lacking in post players and it doesn't seem like lack of talent or physical ability is a problem. Maybe this place isn't ultimately the best for him but it would seem extremely short-sided to make that decision after just one injury plagued year when that option will still be available if he felt the same way next year (if he even feels like this at all) Great post. Lots of potential here and hopefully an attitude check and the learning experience this year are all he needs to understand that he doesn't want to experience the same frustrations in year 2.
  23. The Tunnel Talk is available to paid Rivals members. But, I will say that the "news" is nothing really new or earth shattering that hasn't been discussed on here already. Robin has a public tweet putting to bed the Ed Morrow transfer rumors and talks about that a bit more. Nothing super substantial is really added to that in TT. I do still stand by all of my information about the Ed Morrow situation that I gave out earlier. It would still be very surprising to me for him to transfer, but that is still very much up in the air, and those discussions I shared were feelings he had after his post season meetings with Miles and staff were wrapped up but prior to him talking in depth with his family about his issues/frustrations. I very much expect him to return.
  24. I think I know who you're talking about... Dallas area? Are he and Jordy a package deal? That would not suck. Is this really a possibility LK1? So you're thinking Link is the transfer huskerinkentucky thinks we will be landing in 3-4 weeks? Huskerinkentucky, can you say whether the guy you are referencing is JUCO vs. regular transfer? When you say "transfer" I assume D1 transfer and would expect a JUCO guy to be labeled as such even though he is still a transfer.
  25. Tandem towers from the same family plus Mangok? A trifecta of big men for Miles? Yes, please! I might freak out if the brothers happen.
